The conventional wisdom for a while has been. When DADT falls, so will DOMA and then the Supreme Court would basically have to strike down as unconstitutional, any law that discriminates against a married, same-sex couple. It seems like the dominoes are finally falling in a meaninful way. Thankfully, the way in which DADT was repealed will make it hard to reinstate. Which is why I'm glad the administration took its time and didn't just use an executive order to undo the policy.
I'm cautiously optimistic.
