Hi, I am new to this site.. and well wow what can I say! There are a lot of nice people on this website who are really respectful of what you have to say! Anyway, my name is Cam and I'd enjoy getting to know some more people icon_smile.gif Im not sure if this is the correct posting spot; however, the timing just seemed right icon_smile.gif A little about myself..

I'm currently a Freshman in college I am a medical major working toward a career in the Pharmaceutical sales and development. I enjoy many hobbies and willing to try most activities at least one time. I have just accepted my sexuality being a gay man and .. when people said " It will get better from there " they weren't joking. So much stress has been lifted. Anywayy before I start ranting send me a message if you'd enjoy to know me!icon_biggrin.gif

Like all other websites, there are a handful of jerks. Also, the snark factor is high around here. But don't let that discourage you. Still plenty of cool guys here. Welcome aboard. icon_cool.gif

If you haven't noticed, there is a stream of sarcasm that flows consistently with the forums and threads. Everyone can be what they have, a dick. But don't fret, we're all guys here.

Not really. There are also women on this site with fake pics/profiles. So be careful who you talk to. icon_lol.gif

    Hey, welcome.

Since you mention a career in pharma sales, you might want to check out this article from the WSJ: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204331304577142763014776148.html, called "Drug Reps Soften their Sales Pitch". It is quite interesting.

I work as a recruiter in the nursing and health professions arena and might suggest that you take some applied science work during the next three years.
The sales and marketing world of pharma can be a lucrative and engaging career, but you also might find nursing, medicine or the vast array of specialties in the health care field to be something you have a proclivity for.

    Good luck!
