My work is my entire life. It started as hobbies (flying and photography) and now I make a living doing both...and can't get burned out even if I tried. I look forward to going to work every day. icon_biggrin.gif

I started my own online retail business last September. Yay no boss! Although I work from home and don't have any fixed hours I pretty much keep on top of it throughout the whole day, 7 days a week.

I struggle to make it to 8 hours. plus somedays 1 hour getting to and 1 hour getting from work for a total of about 10 hours per day (of sitting either at work or on da bus.). Sure is hard to stay in shape. I want to retire. I think I could be in much better shape physically.

Love my work...... I run my own investment firm. Amount of hours varies and it certainly has its own challenges. Kudos to you for working on Saturday, just hope you have some time to enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Simply put: if i don't like it, i quit. But im a strange one. For me, personally, Its very important to love the job. Forgive me for being morbid if it seems so, but ive contemplated life and also death very deeply. I realized that life is very short and ive taken a look at the world / society and realize that most people are living / working for the 'eventual'. "Eventually things will get better." "Eventually, I will be happy." "Eventually." Meanwhile, the rest of whats awesome and wonderful about life is passing us by. And when we retire? We're to old and void of energy to do awesome things. Im a rich guy right now man. lol As poor as I am, everything is a luxury. I surrender myself to the Now and to the Moment.
Have you ever seen the movie American Beauty? I was the guy with the corporate job that left that stressful pattern of nonsense; and although goin for a seemingly menial job; i met something most of us seem to overlook: Happiness and Freedom. And no measure of money - no amount of school can give you those 2 things.

I spent 30 years in retail management and got to the point where I hated it. I quit my job about 2 years ago and took some time off to see what I wanted to do with my life. Now I am a photographer and love it! During the day, I photograph cars for my family car dealership and when I am off I do freelance work. I work about 40 hours including uploading the photos to the internet at the dealership and anywhere from 10-20 hours doing freelance work. All I can say is LIFE IS GOOD!

same here, i find it so hard to work for my body. althought i do know very well that my body needs short time. besides my work is in the industrial area and i live in the capital , so it takes about two hours to go and come back.

    cheers..
