So ive gone down a long road of trying out programs, routines, diets, using the fundamentals and going completely off base. Now I've reached that point where I'm at a plateau poth physically and mentally due to trying to implement so much structure that my body is quite literally confused.

What can I do to make this now 6 year struggle easier by resetting and starting anew? I have that typical physique with natural tone and lean muscle with a fast metab but cant clear that hurdle in filling out.

Before I go too far, basically what I want to know is - what should people wih ectomorph builds concentrate on in terms of rep ranges, cycles and intensities? Ive tried it all and can say that nothing really seems to work for me.

Also having a hard time determining what my muscle fibers are geared toward in that endurance running has never been a strong point I can sprint quickly and end up quickly exhausted but can steadily swim good distances and cant necessarily move tons of weight explosively.

say for instance if I wanted to wipe the slate clean could I go with a plan that consisted of:
3-5 rep range power lifting- 3 weeks
    rest week
    9-12 75% rep range- 6 weeks
    deload week
    3-5 rep power lifting

Is it possible to consolidate strength and power routines without burning out completely? I'd really just like to set myself on the right path again ;p

i used to have a similar problem, still kinda do bcz i train alone w no help or trainers so it takes me a bit longer to gain weight bcz of that, but just recently i changed my routinee...i was doing a 3 day split, something like back biceps, chest triceps, legs shoulders but over the last month ive changed it to a 2day split, twice a week(upper body twice, lower body twice) and for myself this change realllllllllly helped me in terms of strength and endurance and ive noticed pretty good gains in my weight, probly about 5lbs or so over the course of 4-6 weeks?
