Don't mess with the Muppets. They have much more credibility, and infinitely more fans, than Fox News. Fox had actually attacked the Muppets first for having "a dangerous liberal agenda," making this thread title a bit misleading.

Miss Piggy, to the additional Fox charge that their new movie is anti-big oil: "That's as laughable as accusing Fox News of being, ah, news."

The Muppets was my favorite weekly prime-time TV show in the late 70s.

living in Holland during the 70s; I would often be with my parents at the Officer's Club. I loved how the bar would empty at 7:25 as all these generals etc gathered with their drinks in the TV lounge with me to watch The Muppet Show with Dutch subtitles.

Did you even watch the clip? It was mainly about Fox News attacking The Muppets, saying that they were promoting a "dangerous liberal agenda" which Kermit disputed.

We got the Muppets in West Berlin for a time, too, through AFN broadcasts I received on my home TV. Their weekly guest stars were the top performers in all of entertainment at that time, a tribute to the incredible phenomenon the Muppets were back then.

I like Fox News, but, I couldn't pass up a Muppet act. Miss Piggy's my favorite. Pure bluntness, reminds me of...me.

Yes, but were the giraffes Photoshopped? I think that still gives JackNWNJ the advantage for worst off-topic post.
