This application on stumblr (get it now?). It was an "application for friends with benefits." This guy had drawn up a list of questions for people to fill out who wanted to be his friend with benefits. I actually thought one of the questions was cool, the rest were over the top/lame.

Anyways, one of the questions was: If you were making a 15-track mixed tape for me that described the scope of your life so far, what would be on it?

    Mine would be

    1. Brand New "Mixtape"
    2. Foo Fighters "All My Life"
    3. Brand New "Degausser"
    4. Lana del Rey "Driving in Cars with Boys"
    5. Marilyn Manson "The Dope Show"
    6. Jimmy Eat World "Bleed American"
    7. Lana del Rey "Blue Jeans"
    8. Johnette Napolitano with Danny Lohner "The Scientist"
    9. Marilyn Manson "The Fight Song"
    10. Foo Fighters "The Pretender"
    11. Brand New "Sink"
    12. Jimmy Eat World "Futures"
    13. Johnette Napolitano "Damage I Have Done"
    14. Alanis Morissette "All I Really Want"
    15. Brand New "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows"

    What would yours be?

That's very interesting, but knowing how OCD I am, and how much music I know, I would spend HOURS figuring that out, and then I'd spend DAYS re-re-reconsidering my choices, so I guess it's better that I don't do it.

    But...

Queen - "The Hero" and "Somebody to Love" would definitely be on it.

I have a playlist on my profile. In my imagination, someone really cool finds it, we talk about music, and then we make out a lot.

....really? Why not pick 15 of them, put them in this thread, and then maybe someone will see it, click on your profile, check out the rest of your music, and then message you, y'all hit off talk about music, then y'all are making out, holding hands, listening to jams and then BAM. He has a boyfriend. But they're open so it's okay!

You hooked me up with a domestic abuse partner in your head? That's so sad. My make-believe relationships in other people's imaginations aren't even healthy.

    The Impossible Dream

edit: also I Started A Joke

Duh, Penderecki's Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima and Liszt's Campanella (but only if performed by Evgeny Kissin). It's so obvious and clear none more are needed.

Funeral song. When someone would die, she would explode from the "death energy" building up inside her. Drove her mad. Fun chick.

    I'm growing campanula flowers. So..

    I liked this!

    Phase I. It's Alive!!icon_twisted.gif

1)Bach- Toccata and Fugue in D minor (has and always will be my theme song)

Next comes the whole awkward sad part about being gay and growing up isolated and all alone in the world.

    2)Alanis Morissette-Uninvited
    3)Hoobastank-Crawling in the Dark
4)Kansas- Carry On My Wayward Son

Then comes the me against the world phase where I decided FUCK people, I'm going to be me even if they hate it. The bounds of reality were were tested and analyzed from every angle. I disregarded everything society ever taught me and decided I'd forge ahead and discover the truth in life on my own.

5)Phantom of the Opera- The Point of No Return
    6)Tool-Lateralus
    7)Tool-10,000 days
    icon_cool.gifInfected Mushroom- The Heavyweight

After all that rebellion and self-discovery...

    9)Incubus-Drive

Next comes the comfortable and happy in my own skin phase! Took long enough to get here! A happier and more mellow me reflects fondly on the rebellious phase of my life, but forges ahead into new and better experiences.

    10)Lady Gaga- Love Game
    11)Zoe Keating- Into the Trees
    12)Royksopp – Remind me
    13)A Perfect Circle- Sleeping Beauty
    14) The Verve- Bittersweet Symphony

And finally, more mellow doesn't mean the fire has died! If the world comes to an end, I'm leaving my Earthly woes behind and going out raging to this final song,

    15)Tool-Aenima

...I'm not kidding, this is the song I would choose to die to!
