I'm an environmental geoscientist working in the mining and hydroelectric power industries. Lots of outdoor work balanced with office work, I love it.

I'm in the same boat. Been in the restaurant industry for about 10 years now. I'm either going to go baker, chef, or change to my other passion Translator.

Site your sources that cause you to suggest the GOP begrudges retired military pay.

I really want to work with renewable energy technology, and that's why I am going back to school for. Props to you to work in a field that is mindful of the environment.
It is too bad for me I live in a province (Alberta) that is home to one of the largest oilsand projects on earth.
Most likely I have to work somewhere else if I am going to make a career dealing with renewable energy.

BTW, I work in a small organic grocery store.
