I think it's a good thing that Jeb Bush is staying out of it -- for now anyway. I don't think it is likely that he will be a late candidate should Romney & Gingrich be a draw leading up to the convention (and I don't think THAT will happen either). However, I do think he is a viable candidate as a V.P. choice -- AND that he would be a great V.P. Not sure that Romney would potentially risk a possible win by going with a Bush on the ticket. May just be too soon for that. That all being said, those here who think the Bush name does not still carry some weight do so at their own peril.

The "Bush Brand" will be un-electable for at least 10 more years, IMO.

    Hopefully longer.

Jeb should have run instead of W.
He couldn't have been any worse -- maybe he would have been better (like not lying his way into a 10-year war) and possibly we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now.
But it's too late for that now -- the "Bush" name is toxic waste.

All this kind of wishful speculation stems from the Republicans' fundamental problem: they don't like Romney and they're stuck with him.
