I guess the vacation bug has given me a nibble. I just got back from one and am ready to start planning for another.

I want to take an all inclusive trip to the tropics. What tropical destination would you recommend?

I have been craving to spend a week in the Maldives or Seychelles islands. Very exotic. All I need my speedo and a hot man!

What do you want? Just a beach? Armchair? Service and an Umbrella??? Cuz you can get that anywhere at all in the tropics... might as well go to key west or the bahamas.. not being condescending at all.. I hear its beautiful there too, just like the rest of the islands.. and not far away

A gay vacation spot? Or just a tropical place?

Of all the places in the tropics I've been to , Grand Cayman was my favorite, and pretty much the only place where I felt truly welcome. Bahamas were 2nd, and Jamaica was a place I'll never return to. (the anti-gay rhetoric there is pervasive, especially if you chose to stay outside of a sheltered resort) Mexico was way down the list, to me its just a gigantic tourist trap, with a murder/drug problem.

The Maldives - Neladhu Hotel / on the island of Veligandu Huraa. A ton of things to do - including a gym, spa, water aerobics, scuba diving, snorkeling, yoga, sailing - and just vegging out. My favorite place in the Maldives.

All of the above. I've been to Key West briefly, it is nice. I was considering Jamaica or Bahamas. I do want somewhere that is not too crowded. I don't like feeling as though I'm sharing the beach with 100,000 other people. So, all inclusive with some level of exclusivity/privacy.
