What a great change of pace from Dick Clark! He really had a huge influence on what young people were listening and dancing to....regardless of color........RIP, Don.......icon_sad.gif

Sad and tragic when anyone takes their life. ...but at his age if he did it cause of health issues I would have to respect that decision. It was on his terms. R.I.P.

I was talking about that at work today and one person I work with (who is about twice my age) said he was the black Dick Clark.

It was Obama's singing that pushed Don over the edge.

We have lost another great American icon! Mr. Cornelius will be missed by all who were touched by him and the legacy of "Sooooooul Train"! Who can forget the line dance and all of the many artists that appeared on his show; many got their start in the music industry because of this great entrepeneur! Rest in peace Mr. Cornelius . . .

He will be missed. I can remember cleaning up on Saturdays while it was on t.v. and right after Saturday morning cartoons.
