I am curious what music you listen to at the gym to get you pumped, keep you going, etc. I'm also interested to know what good songs out there I might be missing-- and should get from the iTunes music store. So, jot down a couple of artists and titles and let's see!

Here are a bunch on my iPod, in no particular order:

    1. MGMT - Kids
    2. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
    3. Bob Sinclair - World Hold On
    4. The Killers - Mr Brightside (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Mix)
    5. 2raumwohnung - Machs einfach
    6. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal
    7. New Order - Kraty

Linkin Park mostly something to make you a little bit angry to push that little bit more...but that's with the weights.

When I'm doing cardio it's usually dance music. Hixxy is always good for that.

One of my aerobic workouts involves ankle and wrist weights and I move to the beat of Abba songs, the fast ones like "Dancing Queen" and "Mama Mia" to name two really get me going.
If I can get through the whole Abba Gold album without stopping to rest I consider it a good day.

I usually listen to the most brutal music I have with the most relentless riffs when I'm lifting, If I'm running or whatever I listen to more chilled out music.

    1. Cannibal Corpse - Pit of Zombies
    2. Arch Enemy - Lament of Mortal Soul
    3. Gorod - Gutting Job
    4. Six Feet Under - Victim of The Paranoid
    5. Zyklon - Subtle Manipulation
    6. Daath - Festival Mass Soulform
    7. Decapitated - Revelation of Existence (The Trip)
    8. Fear Factory - Smasher/Devourer

    whatever else
    1. Pink Floyd - Arnold Layne
    2. The Beatles - Glass Onion
    3. Ali & Gipp Ft Chocolate Tai - Go Ahead
    4. Project Pat - Googly Moogly (That thang is juicy)
    5. Weezer - We Are all on Drugs

i like bumpin dance music with strong and fast beats, for both cardio and lifting. some particulars:
world hold on - bob sinclar
    again - kim leoni
the creeps (fedde le grand remix) - camille jones
"u + ur hand" and "who knew" (bimbo jones remix) - Pink
various Tiesto tracks, i like "Traffic" in particular and "Break My Fall"
"let me think about it" - Ida Corr & Fedde Le Grand

i've also thrown in Breaking Benjamin for the lifting,
    -breathe
    -evil angel
    -until the end
    -diary of jane
little bit of extra aggression helps icon_biggrin.gif

but for the most part, bring on the bass!

Aaliyah, Brandy, Angie Stone, En Vogue, the Brand New Heavies, Kelis, and Vivian Green. Their faster stuff, obviously.
