That will not be good for Romney. (edited because word is now that Trump will endorse Romney.)

I think the endorsement from a joke has negative value.

I agree that this will only help Romney. In fact, Romney likely didn't want (and he sure doesn't need) Trump's endorsement.

Admittedly, Donald Trump doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would endorse a candidate who he knows damn well cannot and will not win. I was surprised to hear he was endorsing Gingrich, so maybe the reports were false and he actually IS endorsing Romney -- who seems like the candidate Trump would rally behind because he actually has the potential of winning. Regardless, I don't think a Trump endorsement will help or hurt Romney. Truth be told, I almost wish Trump would just stay out of it because Romney doesn't need his help.

You sure it's not Gingrich? So difficult to predict The Donald.

As always, anything Trump does is about Trump, and not really about Romney or Gingrich in this case, whoever it turns out to be.

As for the effect on either campaign, I think it'll be a wash. Trump just wants to keep his name out there as a player. I doubt he has very much money to directly contribute, most of his wealth tied up in real estate and other holdings.

As many people are impressed by the endorsement of a high-profile businessman, many others will continue to view him as a clownish, egotistical parody.

    Link?

There isn't anything final yet according to what I'm looking at.

If Trump were to endorse Gingrich it would really be telling, in a very non-positive way.

Let's be clear, Trump hasn't announced who he is endorsing, so until then it is speculation.

Oh ugh. I feel badly now for Romney. Oh well, it could be worse, he could have SB and JackNWNJ endorsing him as well.
