    Stupid moms.

I was expecting an actual coordinated "rightwing" effort to be cited based on the hyperbole.

Read the article - One Million Moms is "a project of the American Family Association." A very right wing, very anti-gay group.

Now why am I not surprised that you would attempt to dismiss this anti-gay action against Ellen DeGeneres and JC Penney?

They are an organization dedicated to pushing an idea of christian principles and implementing them into society through government legislation, so yes, they are religiously "rightwing".

"Rightwing" can be used in different contexts but I wouldn't expect you to understand that. It's some times important to qualify. Best to use terms like "religious organization" or "christian group" to give a more accurate picture.

I'm not dismissing anything, I'm wanting you to represent it better.

Yet another publicity stunt from anti-gay activists pretending to be Christians.
These far-right pressure groups are so far out of the mainstream now -- I think their hateful campaigns actually help our side.
In middle America, Ellen is perceived as being about as threatening as Minnie Mouse --which the AFA also boycotted when they were mad at Disney for offering gay employees' domestic partnership benefits. The boycott did nothing, of course.
The long list of AFA's failed boycotts includes many of the biggest names in American retail and entertainment (including Pepsi, Ford, Wal-Mart, American Airlines, Saturday Night Live, PBS, etc.)

I had to laugh at the made-up name of their campaign: "A Million Moms" ... more like 60 losers in an office park in Tupelo, Mississippi who are desperate to get free publicity and raise more money so they don't have to go get real jobs. icon_lol.gif
