Even one of our own RJ members I met here hasn't contacted me since I met him. All the people (gays only - straights are ok) are the flakiest, rudest, most self-loathing bitches I've ever seen. I will NOT be going out to any more gay bars. Instead, I'll be pocketing the enormous cash my company is paying me to be here, then taking that back to Miami where the people are awesome and cool! icon_biggrin.gif

PS. All the other RJ'ers who "said" they'd meet me here, you can go fuck yourself. None of you have attempted to contact me since I've been here.

Prove it. I offered to meet you. You never responded.

However, when I was still in Miami, you were all about meeting me.

    Yes, I did.

Now, since I've been flaked on by 100% of the guys here, I've decided not to meet ANYONE unless they drive to me.

Sorry to be so rude, but if you're not willing to drive 1.5 hrs here (Casa Grande), we're not going to meet.

Yeah... think I got Stockholm Syndrome, cause that place was as you described it. I had the hardest time with guys there myself. Couldn't wait to get the hell out... but now that I'm gone I want back... but, I think I'll spread my wings and fly elsewhere; like Chicago, Boston, Denver, or Portland.

I'll just enjoy hiking the mountains with my dog. It's pretty sad when 100% of the guys here are assholes. It's by far the worst place I've ever been...even worst than Savannah.

It has been some years since I visited Phoenix on a conference trip, but I had a ball (a great time) when I visited there. What has changed in Arizona since I was there? I particularly remember meeting some of the nicest Latino guys I've ever met there in the hotel and surrounding areas. What has changed there? I'm truly curious. My impressions of the place is still great, but I shall be sure to avoid it for business in the future if there are some serious issues going on there right now. Thanks for enlightening me on the changes, this is something I need to be aware of.

Backing you up on this one, Paul. In Fort Lauderdale over the holidays, you offered to meet, and you were there. No bullshit, no flakiness. You said what you were going to do, and you did what you said. You were on time as well.

Pity on Phoenix. You're missing out on a cool time with a cool guy.

I didn't develop that attitude 'till tonight (well ok, it's been brewing, but I gave it an honest try).

I came here with a positive attitude. Even met an RJ'er my first week here. He hasn't responded since. And all the others I've been in contact with for ages have dropped off the planet. So yeah, I have every right to have this attitude.

I know... lived in Tucson from '08 til the end of '11. I'm familiar with the monotony of it all. It seems like some of the guys there take the analogy of high school being just like real life to it's limit, and make every single move a power play to being the most popular frat boy on the block. I've had a lot of ups and down in my life, in several States I've lived, but no matter what I've always had the worst time living in Arizona. I miss it like a battered wife misses her abuser husband. That is all.

The only thing i've noticed about gay boys in AZ is most of them are a bit crazy.. thanks for proving my point!! lol If u don't like where you live.. MOVE!! I Love AZ and the boys there are just like anywhere else.. maybe you are going for people who might see you as not in their age range and don't want to waste your time or theirs.

wait I'm getting a thought here!! How about you realize that everyone has a type they go for and everyone knows who they are attracted to and maybe you need to comprehend that you will not be everyone's type and it's part of life!!

"meeting up" in the gay world is a term also synonymous for having sex.. Don't take this to seriously ESPECIALLY on REALJOCK and in the gay community.

Just be yourself and happy with who you are and the rest will fall into place.. if someone doesnt' want to meet up or hang out or they aren't into you, thats their problem and don't stress over people who don't view you as important in their lives!! Trust me life becomes soo much easier when you love yourself enough to not give a rats ass about someone who doesn't care about you!!

GOOD LUCK!! hopefully for your sake you get to move to miami where yes all the boys there are so much better and cooler!! lol i've been to both places and NY and CA and they are all the same just in different population sizes.

Sound argument. Think I'll take your stance on this now. I'm out of state and being treated kindly here.

Lived in Phoenix a year. I can't stand Phoenix, but I don't think the guys there are more or less flaky than LA. Prolly flakier than SF, though.

It was the sheer retardation and dearth literacy that turned me off.

And if you stayed in CG, I can sympathize with being unable to accommodate your demand.

Good point. You're totally right. Just cause I met a few charismatic assholes, doesn't discredit the awesome people I know are living there. But I'm not going to go off and name them online to get my point across either.

I'll just stop you right there since you don't realize my situation. I'm only here on an 8 month contract with work. So, moving is not an option - it's a given. I WILL be back in Miami in Sept...and can't wait! icon_biggrin.gif
