OK. I haven't seen this topic, so if I missed it - I am sorry... Just thought I would brighten to boards up with a new topic.

If you could travel to the future and ask the future version of yourself one question, what would it be?

I guess for me - it would be - "Will I always be alone?"

Alternative: If you could travel to the past and warn a past version of yourself not to do one thing what would it be?

For me - "Don't eat the waffles..."

    Your turn...

Question for my future self: "How will my parents react to me coming out to them?"

Warning for my past self (specifically, myself as I was starting college): "You're going to lose weight and look amazing, so keep going on your morning runs. But you don't have any muscle or strength, so start lifting weights in addition to running while you're still 18 instead of starting when you're 21!"

Future question: "Are you happy with your life?"

Warning for past me: "Don't date girls to stay in the closet, no one cares you're gay!!"

I'd ask: Have you gotten laid yet?

I'd say "Don't give him your number"

I'd ask ymself in the future "Did you see it? Did you do it? Are you happy?"

And I'd tell my past self "Please, no matter what you do, don't get in the car. Stop right now. Run."

Future question: "Can I see your ID to make sure you're really you?"

And he says: "Don't take the next out-of-state contract your job tries to push on you, no matter how much $ they offer." icon_lol.gif

I'd ask "Where did you end up and who with?"

He'd say: "Take the chance to be happy."

I'd ask him, "What happens to me...?"

He would say, "Life. Just life. And by talking with me now... your entire future just changed."

question for my future self: "did you find him?"

advise for my past: "make it crystal clear it can not be changed, you are who you are"

"Was it all worth it?" to the future.

To the past me. Looking at what you're going through now, you feel like all is lost and hopeless. You made a mistake, you could completely miss it and the pain, but look at all that you have gained from it. Look how happy I am now. Life is never easy, and easy lives rarely give you the skills and knowledge You Really Need to survive. Hang in there, and try applying for work where your sister is moving to. You just might need it... I know you, you got a job now!

To the Future Me: "What do you regret not doing?"
To the Past Me: "Go drinking with the Australian Rugby Team! You'll regret it if you don't."

    Too many sentimental responses!

Future: "What are the numbers to next week's powerball lottery?" icon_cool.gif
Past: "Come out of the closet when you're 12!"

Okay, you really MUST see this where the future self asks the past self whether he'd consider making out with himself:

Should I throw caution to the wind and move now or hang on for 3 more years purely for financial gain? Will this matter to me as an old man anyway?

Past advice: Don't have such a rigid belief system in your 20's, it will scare you and others away.

Past self: Don't wait 20 years, go to college immediately!

I don't want to ask my future self anything. I want to live life, not act-out a script.
