What is so offensive about this idiot is he in no way represents Christians. Granted some Christians are as bigoted as he is, but I am not and I wish he would stop using that title if he is going to smear the name of Jesus.

    Grin
    Off my soapbox now....

Seriously I didn't know George Carlin had passed away..

    LOL.

What I love about Christians like this is how they take Christ's teachings of love, forgiveness, and acceptance of all mankind so close to their hearts.

When I listen to people like this, I just switch out the object of their fury, and replace it with Mary Magdalene. Makes me feel closer to Jesus.

I do love me some Phred Phelps. He so funny.

    Poor Fred.

    Poor, poor Fred.

What must have happened to poor Fred to make him such an intolerant hate monger?

Whatever it was, I feel sorry for poor, poor Fred.

Phelps is hilarious. With George Carlin out of the way now he sees an opportunity to advance as a world-class clown. No disrespect to clowns.

The one going to HELL is Fred Phelps for being a hate monger and claiming to be a "Christian" while never actually getting the point as to what Jesus and christianity was all about in the first place. Jesus died so we could be forgiven for our sins, NOT sent to HELL. This kind of hypocritical hate-mongering and bigotry truly sickens me.

If Carlin (and I) were childish enough to believe in a silly concept like hell, this might be a problem.

Sorry, I can't be bothered to waste 4:23 of my life watching this crank opportunistically blather on about the latest person he condemns to hell (as if he's God himself, sitting in judgment).

Phelps is a chronic and tragic publicity seeker who long ago left behind any notion of being a serious pastor. It would be best if the media and the rest of the nation would quit paying him any attention and fueling his maniacal drive for attention.

Considering the source of the comment Carlin would probably consider that a compliment. Phelps probably thinks 99.9% of all humanity is in hell or will eventually get there.

Probably everyone except the members of his church, which is to say, he and his family.

Actually I think Phelps has stated that even the members of his church (read: his family) are also damned to hell. But, they consider themselves the prophets who are meant to warn the rest of us of our inevitable decent into Hades.

It's still a rather megalomaniacal position to assume.
