stupid mistakes happening ALL THE GODDAMN TIME

Three weeks ago I was told the reason for my running pain that made me stop and permanently decrease my mileage was in fact simple runner's knee. The simple "your doing it wrong" is actually working. I have less pain.

It only took five doctors to tell me this.

Another stupid mistake I'd been making was that my protein powder says its 28 grams... per three scoops.

I'd been taking one scoop every workout for the last year.

    But hey, life is good.

Sounds like you are your own worst enemy. It would only take one doctor telling me i had runners knee to modify my behavior. But 5? What was it about the first 4 doctors you visited that you felt you knew their job better than they did?

It's not stated unequivocally, but it can be inferred that precisely what he's mad about is the fact that the first four doctors DIDN'T give him the right diagnosis...

That's how I read it. And if that's true, what did those first four doctors tell you?

The other doctors said a variety of this:

    I don't know. We'll see how it develops. x2
Let me send you to this place you can't get to because you don't have a car. x1
Its runner's knee. Do this: x1

Admittedly I am partly to blame for not finding a solution sooner within my reach. I moved from the two doctors waiting to see how it develops. They were both in the same practice. Its just one of those things you need to spend more time on to solve. Also it was four doctors, not five (memory fading)

Runner's knee is an easy diagnosis. Not rocket science. Take anti inflammatory. Relative rest x2 weeks. Ice 2-3x day. Referral to physical therapy. If no improvement x4 weeks, return for MD follow up and possible referral for MRI and orthopedic surgeon.

Your lack of recall on your history with the doctors says alot. You dont have very good listening skills or follow instructions well.

I wasn't able to follow up because I had to go to leave the country or go to college. Second time I went in they said we'll have to see.

I do overlook things very easily though.
