Waist measurement

So I'm standing up and measure my waist...34 or 33 if I pull it in tight at my belly button. But then I lie down and it's a 32. What's going on? Is my back compressing when I stand up? Maybe I'm shrinking too! Getting old sucks, but beats the alternative.

    Drew.

The key is to take measurements weekly, that way you will get a clearer idea of your body shape. Stand up to measure your waist.

Thanks for the tip. I can finally claim to have a 36" waist. Standing it's about 36.5" (pulled in a little), and lying it's about 35.5". The likely reason is simply that gravity pulls more tissue down toward the navel. My skin is loose, so my belly sags when standing.

The muscles that hold in our internal organs
which are mainly the abs have to work against gravity
when you lie down these organs fall into place
and they don't have to work
stand up and they need to hold them back

My waist is 38 inches now. It use to be 46 last year. Hey.. I am not done yet. I gonna keep exercising, watching my diet. I gonna have that after high school abs maybe in a couple of month. Trust me..

By the way, my closet is full with various size of jeans from 42, 40, 38.. Now even 38 , dont do me justice. I need to go 34 really soon.....Yes.
