Is it fear, is it hypocrisy, is it more of the continual dishonesty? YES
He's not just by himself in full campaign mode, members of his Administration are in campaign mode. The stench is pretty strong.

The "stench" comes from the "Repugs"..... he had to do it to keep up or
    be defeated financially. I understand.

Unfortunate, but it would be difficult to compete otherwise.

Yeah, just like he broke his promise in 2008 about accepting government campaign money. Let's face it, he's a complete opportunist, has no problem breaking promises, and has no strong core other than his ideology and need for adulation.

Pretty weak. You've got to be kidding. Why not go over to the other video thread I started and justify Solyndra. I have no doubt you'll come up with something. I think the desperation is with you and your cohorts trying to defend that. icon_lol.gif

Nope. I doubt it. You have no candidate, so Solyndra won't matter a wit.

You'll see. Wishful thinking based on the primaries. Don't want to remember the antagonism between Hillary and Obama? All the major candidates have indicated they would support whoever the nominee is, and that applies to the great majority of supporters of all the 3 major candidates.

It doesn't matter if Bachmann supports Romney if her supporters refuse to vote for him. Turnout in all the primaries is down and Mitt is pulling in lighter numbers than 2008 in many states.

Meanwhile, MItt's old buddies at Bain are overseeing the layoff of thousands of employees at American, which is using its "bankruptcy" to negate contracts and enrich its executives (again). icon_lol.gif

American is going through what the other carriers have previously gone through. Go right ahead and try to pin that on Romney. I hope Obama's team is foolish enough to try that, but I think they and their super-PACS are too smart. Would make you all look like a bunch of desperate simpletons.

Speaking of their Super PACs, will be interesting to see if they observe the law in maintaining a barrier between the reelection team and the Super PACs. Looks like the plan is to have the Cabinet Secretaries and Super PACs joined at the hip. This will be fun to see how much the Administration will try to push the law.

One other thing, if there were ever any doubts of a total union between the reelection team and the running of the Government, those doubts have been put to rest. The comments by David Axlerod on how the Administration will seek some sort of accommodation in the Catholic Church controversy, completely shows the reelection committee and the White House are one and the same.

    a. in modern US presidential politics, it's a losing proposition 2 place principles above winning.
    b. voters really don't care--this is a non-issue. i doubt Pres. Obama lost a single vote by opting out of public financing in the 2008 election.
    c. he'd be stupid not 2 even the playing field. no one expects him 2 bring only his fists 2 a gunfight.

do i wish super-PACS were not involved? yup, but they're here, and the US will pay the price...quite a steep price unfortunately.

No major disagreement, but it further bursts the bubble that he based his appeal on in 2008, and shows him to be a politician as opposed to a "post-partisan". In that sense it will have an impact, him being judged on the same thing other politicians are judged on, not some holy, abstract fluff.

American is suffering from deregulation and the excesses of its executives like many other companies. The execs and investors want enormous returns and, if they aren't getting them, it's time for bankruptcy!

And it's not necessary to "pin it on Romney". It's just another example of how he made his money and how bad that is for industry and the country as a whole.

In terms of the Super-PACs, the administration isn't pushing the law any more than Romney and Santorum have and are.

And please show the difference between Axelrod's role and Karl Rove's during the Bush reelection campaign, except that Rove was employed by the government at the time. icon_rolleyes.gif
