    Just curious.

He is a gay guy who does absolutely nothing for the gay community. My friend dated him for two weeks. He is gay. Everyone knows it. But as a man in power and with a huge position and audience, he does nothing.

Instead, when his career flaggs, he will "Come out" on Barbara Walters and make a big deal of it. And the stupid dumb asses that run the NY and LA Pride events will make a hero out of him and put him on the main floats.

And he will be on the cover of Genre and all the other gay rags and sell his wimper story about how hard it was to be gay in a world that did not accept him.

And we, being sheep, will eat it up. Thank you, Andy, for coming out and showing the world that we are not all drag queens, that we can be who ever we want to be (just not successful and high profile until your career takes a nose dive), but you are one of us!!!

Except that you are the son of Gloria Vanderbilt, heir to the Vanderbilt fortune, so you are not like us, plus you have famous friends who do not care if you are gay, unlike the stupid little kid in Alliance, Nebraska who drives 100 miles to even find a copy of Genre. Then gets his ass kicked for even reading it.

But Anderson Cooper, thanks. Your coming out really moved forward the rights of gay people. Gay, wealthy, NY society, media society, good looking scions of wealth gay people who live off of the wealth their great grandparents earned. Those people were really struggling. Desperate for help. Almost like the Katrina people you used for ratings. But you looked good which is all that matters.

    Thanks, Andy

Thanks, but they probably could have gotten that without you copying my whole response. I assume people read it on the way to yours. But thanks if you felt people needed to read it twice in whole.

He's a good journalist, but I've never viewed him as hot.

    Well I like...his silver hair. It's hot
    icon_rolleyes.gif

As for being out and such......

Here is one other view on this....

I don't think anyone has a responsibility to be "out" for anyone else no matter how "powerful" an individual may be.

The exception here are elected officials who VOTE against gay rights and then LIE and say they are not gay.

    My 2 cents.

wow triggerman, i hope i neva become rich and famous and closeted... i'd hate to hear what you'd say 'bout me.

but unfortunately, i am not rich... and thankfully not closeted.

btw, i never considered anderson cooper to be hot by any physical measure... but he does carry about like he's super intelligent and that's a turn on for me.

I think his beauty comes from the fact that he doesn't seem to have an attitude. I love it when he laughs its very cute. He just seems wholesome and very intelligent.

To steal a line from another thread, I'd have to say he's "distinguishingly handsome." I can't really put my finger on the exact reason though. I think it's just that everything about him works together so well. All of his features complement each other, as well as his personality. Nothing seems out of place...

I think he is a good journalist too - but I don't think he is hot. I'd like him better without the prematurely gray hair. Gray is such a dead color - there are so many other choices - but, to each his own.

He came out a while back and CNN threatened his job. He wasnt well known enough at that point to fight it. Maybe its time? I dont know, who cares anyways?

He's a journalist. What right do we have to his personal life?

last year when i visited NYC i was at David Barton Gym in Chelsea and he was there. No make up kind of short and looking very mid 40's and not in a good way. I was not the least bit impressed at all. Oh well...
