He is a gay guy who does absolutely nothing for the gay community. My friend dated him for two weeks. He is gay. Everyone knows it. But as a man in power and with a huge position and audience, he does nothing.
Instead, when his career flaggs, he will "Come out" on Barbara Walters and make a big deal of it. And the stupid dumb asses that run the NY and LA Pride events will make a hero out of him and put him on the main floats.
And he will be on the cover of Genre and all the other gay rags and sell his wimper story about how hard it was to be gay in a world that did not accept him.
And we, being sheep, will eat it up. Thank you, Andy, for coming out and showing the world that we are not all drag queens, that we can be who ever we want to be (just not successful and high profile until your career takes a nose dive), but you are one of us!!!
Except that you are the son of Gloria Vanderbilt, heir to the Vanderbilt fortune, so you are not like us, plus you have famous friends who do not care if you are gay, unlike the stupid little kid in Alliance, Nebraska who drives 100 miles to even find a copy of Genre. Then gets his ass kicked for even reading it.
But Anderson Cooper, thanks. Your coming out really moved forward the rights of gay people. Gay, wealthy, NY society, media society, good looking scions of wealth gay people who live off of the wealth their great grandparents earned. Those people were really struggling. Desperate for help. Almost like the Katrina people you used for ratings. But you looked good which is all that matters.
