I just watched the "the Punisher" with Thomas Jane in which Will Patton played a pretty badass Quentin Glass who happened to be gay. This got me wondering who is your favorite gay character in a movie?
I'm not sure of mine but Quentin Glass was cool and the guys from the movie Burnt Money were pretty cool too.

Do lesbians count? I really liked Violet and Corky in the the Wachowski brothers' film "Bound."

Great film in general (forget the same sex theme) with a really tight plot. Anyone who hasn't seen this need to check it out ASAP!

I really loved Christoper Plummer in Beginners. The movie's based on the director's life - his father came out late in life after his wife passed away: http://youtu.be/rXUFUp6vsxg.

One of my other favorites is Undertow. It has a very unusual story: http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi2855378457/.

Hmm, I liked John Mahoney's Jack in The Broken Hearts Club. I was thinking it would be neat to see Ethan Mordden's Buddies characters on the screen, but his books are kinda non-linear collections fo vignettes. While they are about the same group characters, I'm not really sure it would work as a screenplay.

I have always liked Ian Somerhalder's Paul from Rules of Attraction. He had the right amount of angst. Torn between lust and searching for love while inflating a brief encounter into an unrequited love affair. The character is extremely melodramatic and shallow, but he reminds me that even when we are at our worst we still want to be loved......and he has a pinch of gorgeous.icon_redface.gif
