veneblue saidJust go to wilton manors...it's gayland there....there are bars such as georgies allibi, matty's and on saturdays , there is a club called the manor which is suppossed to be good..!
Also try Rosie's (more couples & groups, though), and Scandals for more of a western flavor and some singles. Ramrod is for leather and bears. Boom (same strip as the Alibi) has dancing, but a younger crowd. Bill's Filling Station isn't too bad, and maybe a little younger than the Alibi. Tropics is practically a retirement home, and more restaurant than bar. Sidelines is a sports bar, but fairly heavily female (it's owned by lesbians).
The Manor is really only interesting when there's live entertainment, so check ahead. The Boardwalk also has live entertainment, usually including a drag queen or 2, but also Speedo-clad boys, often with eastern European accents, who run around trying to get you to buy them drinks and pay them to give you a lap dance.
The Living Room is the farthest away from these others, in downtown Fort Lauderdale, for a little more polish. There are also numerous small "corner" bars, which is really what Matty's is, but it's not too bad for cruising. Do avoid The New Moon, which is almost next to Matty's and across the street from Rosie's - that's lesbian.
Google them to map, and if you have any trouble locating them, or have questions about any, shoot me an RJ email. All I mentioned are within a mile of each other, except for the Living Room. And maybe we can meet, too.
