All men are bisexual, Charlie

I found out this episode of a UK TV Series called "The Street". This episode deals with a married man, a demolition construction worker, having a crush on one of his younger mates.

The episode is a it of a cliche, but it raises some important questions and issues, such as all men are bisexual, some fancy women more than men, and some fancy men more than women, the way a bisexual man is looked in a macho society, jealousy between male lovers, the repercussion's on the husband / father's family and the situation of the wife and her dealing with a male competition.

I found it hit some deep notes and it resonated with a scene from Brokeback Mountain where Enis tells Jack that "he made him this way".

Are there movies / TV episodes you watched that deal with the issue of coming out while married?

The main actors are also easy on the eyes, so that's a plus. Here are the links.

So I wouldn't doubt this. I think all people are bisexual in the sense that they have the capacity to love and be sexually attracted to both genders. I just think some have it more or less so than others.

This is true...If a guy was 100% str8t, he couldn't even stand the company of other males.

If all men were bisexual, that would mean that all gay guys would be attracted to women also. I personally have no interest in vagina whatsoever.

One of my favorite free-market thinkers and authors, George Gilder, apparently agrees. In an interview I posted on RJ he states that all of us are probably bisexual to some degree.

A jock I chatted with is sure of it. He says he's almost always successful hitting on men at his gym. It's not a gay gym. He says it's a matter of timing and location.

Married men are off limits for sexual activity as I see it, for all kinds of reasons. Yeah, I watched the first episode. That will probably be it.

It's an interesting notion. I guess from some perspectives I would be counted in the bisexual bucket. I was, afterall, married for 16 yrs and have kids. But if you ask me personally, aside from a few years around the time I married and shortly there after, I have never considered myself bisexual. I married primarily because of social and religious reasons, and considering myself "bisexual" back then simply helped rationalize what I was doing. And while I can obviously perform sexually with a women, I do not find the female body erotic in the least bit. And sex became a chore pretty early on in our marriage. So while other men on this site clearly enjoy either sex, I certainly am not one of them, despite my years of pretending to play for the other team.

These "theories" tend to be more fantasy than anything. A small percentage of Gay men who fantasize that Straight men really wanna swallow another dude's dick.

No different than the small percentage of Straight women who believe that Gay guys just need to meet the "right" woman.

There may be a small percentage of a chance of something like heterosexual desire running through my veins, but I don't have desire to pursue anything with a female to save my life.

I'm sorry but this is not true. . .

My ability to recognize that a woman is beautiful/sexy does not mean that I am bisexual. If it came down to it, I would not want to, or be able to have sex with her. Likewise, I do not think that a straight guy that is capable of recognizing when another dude is good looking makes him bisexual.

This. Though I do believe that many more men have some inherent bisexuality than will admit it, all men clearly are not bisexual.

I'd have to say that time, place, and situation are key to exploration. Most guys who are willing to explore have already done some exploring inside their heads before that happens and give openings in conversation and body language that this is so to those they are interested in; hence the hook ups. I also think that our sexual identity is dynamic, not fixed; and that we evolve through the course of our lives and expierences. If you read Kinsey, he presents evidence that a large portion of the population has had bi-sexual expierences and/or thoughts desires with smaller populations on either end of the spectrum that do not chose those expierences. It is through this process that we are thought to "sort out" what we like best. Answers are able to change given enviormental changes ;) aka a mens colony or some such (see prison or a frat house for futher refence material)icon_cool.gif

It's got to be a one-on-one situation and the steam/sauna room seems to be the place where men are most open to some same-sex experimentation.

I do think that human sexuality is not binary for most folks (our closest evolutionary relatives, the Bonobo chimpanzee is extremely fluid in its expression of sexuality).

I used to be all about the puss, and then somewhere around age 20 I discovered that male asses and the tight treasure deep up inside them were far, far better and more fun.

These days it would take an exceptionally attractive woman for me to get any interest in laying her, much less investing the time and maintenance in her to be able to tap her snatch (to say nothing of her ass) when finding a hot guy for a hookup is so much easier.

LOL That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I do not believe all men are bi. I think there is a black, white and grey area. The grey area is where most men and women fall into the bisexual area. The notion that all men are bi is just like saying all men are gay or straight.

Wrong. You certainly do not have any facts to back that up, or a very SMALL pool of people you have questioned.

I have absolutely no attraction to women.

Being in the company/friends of the gender one is not attracted too, has nothing to do with attraction to said gender.
