Debating anything other than literary criticism regarding a piece of fiction (the bible) is a bizarre idea to me. Why give the self-serving prejudice of some Christians any truck by consenting to such an absurd premise? It's like claiming that Alice in Wonderland is proof that caterpillars can talk.
If you want to use it as a basis for debating philosophy, then fine, we've been doing that for yonks with Plato et al. But good luck with all the internal contradictions in the text.
