Poor Mitt is having a hard time of convincing people he's conservative. Watching him go on the defense is amusing.

As the election gets closer it becomes more about winning tactics. Romney polls best against Obama, while Inasanitorium and the Grinch would likely not improve their polling well enough by November to win. Nor do most think think Rue Paul could pull it off.

It's always been true that politics makes strange bedfellows. And since right-wingers made clear from the day of Obama's inauguration that they would exert all their energies during the next 4 years to defeating him, before the man had even begun to govern, it doesn't seem surprising the extremists would even betray their own values if Romney can do the trick of getting their Black nemesis out of the White House.

Truly disgusting and vile (though not at all surprising) that you would inject race into this, "Colonel" Deco. icon_rolleyes.gif

LOL! That's a FAIL, Mr. "southbeach." After all the "truly disgusting and vile" racist things the right wing has said about President Obama, and even his wife from the time he was a candidate in 2008, you aren't going to get much traction with that ploy. Except maybe within the conservaposse here.

Deflecting attention from your own racist thoughts manifested via your statements here on RJ, the above being only the latest.

Conflating Art's one regrettable statement with the barrage of racist attacks on the Obamas over the past four years is ludicrous but I guess when you carry water for racists the way you have, you need to deflect from it.

I see. So I '"carry water for racists." Coming from someone who supports the National Man-Boy Love Association as you do, that doesn't mean much. (See, it's quite easy to make stuff up about people).

I don't support NAMBLA but you have frequently defended racists and also consistently argued that raising issues of racism somehow makes one "racist." So you're a completely unreliable interlocutor in this discussion.

    CuriosJock,

Referring to your link above about Romney's win of the CPAC straw poll, you do realize that the votes are paid for? Candidates buy the ticket and give them out to attendees with the hope they will in turn cast their vote for them. Given Mittance's well-run machine, I can only imagine he bought the most tickets.

I wouldn't put much stock into these straw polls.

    Fucking hilarious joke!

Old Mitt Romneycare has really screwed himself but good with his speech at CPAC.

If he gets the Repub nomination he'll immediately start trying to flip-flop back to the middle - but his own extreme rhetoric from his CPAC speech where he described himself as a "severe conservative" will be used against him in devastating attacks proving what a blatant craven flip-flopper Romney is.

The REAL winner at CPAC this year?

    PRESIDENT OBAMA!
