Has ther ever been something that you were scared to do at first but did it anyway and now looking back you were glad you did it?

Going on a working holiday to New Hampshire many moons ago. Absolutely nervous as hell, as I was this geeky shy 23 year old. Turns out to be one of the best life-affirming things I ever done, and gave me a taste for travelling (I then went on a working holiday to Australia).

Recently I qualified in being able to take HIV tests for work using the fingerprick method (I work in HIV health promotion), which was scary to begin with but now I'm ok with it and apparently my feedback's good.

    Yay for me.

I once met a boy at a sauna, had a great time etc etc. He invited me to come to his place on Norfolk Island for a summer holiday so I went. Scared a little as we didnt really know each other that well.
17 years later I still go there each year, made some really strong friendships and have an affinity with that little island that I still find hard to explain, its like I go home each time im there.icon_biggrin.gif

I accepted my dream job as a college instructor and moved to a new town where I knew absolutely no one.

Best thing that has ever happened in my life.

    No looking back...icon_biggrin.gif

Realizing that I was unhappy with my life several years ago, and gradually going about changing it.

    MUCH happier now.
