So, this game set in the beloved Rayman universe is currently being developed by a single person: a 16 year old girl with the YouTube name Rayfan9876. She has been using CryENGINE 3 to develop the game. It already has 16 areas/levels, 12 soundtracks, and 13 characters.

The name of the game is Rayman (1.5): Revenge of the Dark. It is supposed to take place after the events of Rayman 1. Her hope is to one day get it published.

All I have to say is damn, this is impressive.

This is incredible hahaha, I have just got started using the Unity Engine and despite not being as detailed as this(CryEngine),its more "newbie" friendly.
Well She can't get it published as this is a trademark already registered icon_razz.gif but who knows if she can get a job at Ubisoft and maybe some day do it icon_biggrin.gif. Nice post icon_smile.gif

I swear, the sounds effects sound like something straight out of Crash Bandicoot.

It's true, Ubisoft owns the franchise. One can hope maybe their will be nice and perhaps let her publish it through them in some form. We've seen many big game publishers make random gestures of good will towards the gaming community, but then again, this is the same company that has the most extreme and controversial applications of DRM in their published software.
