Probably time management. I'm a night person, I like to clean, grocery shop, and workout very late, but it has to fit into my schedule. Working out first thing in the morning is not an option for me, so usually what's best is 7 or 8 pm.

For me it all depends on the execise. I meet with my trainer pretty early 3 days a week. He walks me through a long 2 hour work out. I've tried doing it at night but I find that I am just too worked up to sleep and it takes me hours to wind down. The same goes for swimming and cycling. But I do yoga at night 3 days a week and for some reason I'm able to come home and fall to sleep quickly.

Weight training and yoga are of course very differnt styles of exercise, but they both get my heart pumping so I'm not sure what it is. Other than, the last 20 minutes of my yoga practice is generally spent in deep meditation and winding down.

I like to do weights during mid-day or early afternoon, and cardio in the evening. My best cardio time is in the late evening, but then I end up wired and wide awake when I should be asleep...like I am right now. icon_neutral.gif

I have to work out late- I work long days, and the gym is packed right after work. Late night is the best time for me so I don't have to wait for equipment.

I tend to go later at night. I work at odd times. So 11 at night is like most people 6 or 7. One plus to this is that the gym is much less crowded.

This is so true. Whenever you can get to the gym, that's when you get there. I use to get up at 445am, be at the gym by 5, workout till 7/730, get to work at 8 and then go back to the gym at 5pm when I was off work.

That lasted maybe a month. icon_confused.gif

wow, the truth is that i really hate the time management. i like to do things differently at different time. i don't like to do the same errand over and over. but i'm sure the time management has helped alot of people in their daily life. but this year, building up my body is one of my resolution/goal, and hopefully my new time management will helps me to reach my goal before 2009. lol oh, btw, thanks for ur inputs, guys. icon_biggrin.gif

I'm totally a morning person for working out. After working all day, I don't have the energy to be productive.

I have done it only when necessary, and it's a bitch!

I was always a 6-7:00am kinda guy but due to working hours have now become a 7-8:00pm man. I have to say that working out in the evening has knocked off a couple of pesky kilos that live on my stoomach over winter. I haven't changed the type of workouts I do so it must be the timing of those workouts that has made the difference.
