Ive used l-carnitine before and I really had the impression it was a helpful fat burner. Then I went off it, am about to go back. Never thought about whether certain brands were better. I just got this new bottle from bb.com, and I just picked the least expensive....will see if it seems less effective. good luck.

ps also at one point tried CLA and I didint notice much effect. I also take a thermogenic often before cardio and that does seem to give a good boost of energy.
