Ok guys I need your opinion on this one....

Two weeks ago I met this really awesome guy. We have spent time together and have texted/chatted every day since we met. We are still getting to know each other, but I feel as if things are progressing quick.

I am beginning to feel fear because come early june I will leave for Barcelona to be with family and friends and wont come back until mid august (If I decide to come back to the USA). I have been in an international job hunt and have been saving money in the event that I decide to stay in Barcelona.

Should I brake it off with this guy before we get more serious? I don't want to hurt him nor myself come June. I thought this week what if the roles were switched..."Would I be ok if the guy I was dating went off to Barcelona (A gay capital of the world with heaps of hot studly spanish men) for 2 and half months?" My answer would be no.

What are your thoughts? How would you react if the guy you were dating leaves for Barcelona for 2 and a half months? And some of you might wonder if I am willing to shorten my trip and the answer is no...

it is a difficult matter to give a comment on, but if it was me i would talk to the guy and tell him if he is wiling to stay together inspite of the trip and if he said yes then i will do what it takes to keep it clean honest and sincere and keep a daily connection with him ..........as long as there is the right chemistry, u never know if he is the ONE, u know what i mean...?

A two week romance and you're willing to give up your potential career because of it?

Oh go ahead, stay with him. Sometimes learning the hard way is most effective. icon_wink.gif

If you think you might cheat, break it off. Otherwise keep it on.

Don't ask us this question, ask the guy you like. Our opinion is irrelevant because you're not dating us. Two outcomes:

    a) He doesn't care.
    b) He wants to stop the relationship before it starts because he doesn't want to get serious with a guy who is going to leave in four months.

Both of these are respectable opinions. You said if the roles were reversed you would answer b. You're anxious and afraid he will say the same thing.

Not everyone is you. Some people really don't care about this relatively small stuff. So many things could happen in the relationship over the next four months.

Whatever you do, just don't wait until two days before you leave to bring it up. Good luck.

Aggieboy, how dos he feel about you, and what has he said about this?

Most important, how and what do you feel about his reaction?

Anything you decide or do has everything to do with the way you feel about him, seeing as how you're bringing it up.

If it was me, and the man not going to Barcelona was Bill, I can easily tell you what I would have done, lol. But then, that's me. icon_wink.gif Everyone's relationships are different.
