A simple question. Why or why not?

No. Life is stressful enough without having to put up with millions of strangers reading about every second of your personal life.

no thanks. I don't even like leaving my apartment. I'd rather be forgotten. That's also why I never joined Facebook. I'm off the grid!

Only if it meant that I would be rich enough to afford anything and everything I would ever want.

If I was famous for something that wasn't harmful, yes.

JPtheBITCH saidI had no opinion about it until recently.

My daughter is a celebrity, however, and is constantly on television. I took her and her girlfriend out to dinner here in Boca Raton when they were visiting last month and it was amazing. First the waiter recognized her, then he dragged the manager over, who was excited enough to get the owner and his wife to come by; then other diners stopped by the table asking for her autograph. It was highly weird. The owner comped our meal, which was nice, but I suddently realized I would never want to be famous.

    Never.

No... not really; but I'll take fortune for no effort at all and nothing more than wishful thinking!

Of course I would want fame. With fame usually comes money and influence. Everyone who has fame wanted it, no matter how much they protest that they don't. They could give it up at any time they wanted to, but they never do. As Flava Flave used to say in his song, "Don't believe the Hype." lol.

I don't think I could handle the pressure that goes along with it. However I'd be lying if I said starring in a movie wouldn't be amazing

No. I really don't like people that much and greatly enjoy my privacy.

Here's to never making any important research discoveries icon_razz.gif

I wouldn't want fame, because I've seen the damage it can do. My grandparents were well known and as a result - they had a boy (my uncle) kidnapped for ransom. He died. After that (in the early 50's) my grandparents guarded their privacy very carefully. Look also at the Hearst family, who once lived across the street from us. Fame brought them misery as well. There are just too many freaks out there who want to cause harm - - - you just have to be very careful, now more than ever.

As an aspiring actor, yes I would take it. My life is boring, might give me some excitement. icon_razz.gif

Now the whole gay thing is an issue, since Hollywood is still publicly anti-gay. But I'm trying for Broadway first!
