From all my reading we've actually recovered some lost ground in the worlds eyes after Bush's cowboy tactics over Iraq.

Obama is now taking a cautious tact on any further wars, while Santorum appears to approve jumping right into war with Iran. Santorum claims Obama is favoring our enemies over our allies and in the article on MSN, he comes down on Obama for saying france is our best ally.

What do you think? From your understanding are we safer under Obama's foreign Policy or would we be better off with Santorum's 'American Exceptioinalist' foreign policy (more like bush's policies)?

    Its the economy stupid.....
Obama polls strongly on foreign policy.
The GOP is struggling to hang something around Obama's neck.

I don't think we can ever know if we are necessary "less safe" or "more safe" because I would imagine that any terrorist organization (if they REALLY wanted to) could strike whenever and where ever they wanted and do much damage to life and property, and all the planning and preparation to stop them probably won't work. That said, I do think that both the Bush administration, and the Obama administration, have been incredibly effective in stopping terrorists in their tracks post-9/11

    Osma's Dead
    We're out of Iraq
We have not had a foreign or a domestic plot work yet

    .... I'd say that there's a Humongous difference

Santorum is dumber than a rock. He is just another primitive minded, right wing neocon who will say anything to win favors with the voters.

I don't care too much for Santorum; I wish people would vote for Ron Paul.

While we have been very safe since 2011, we are less safe because of Obama's unneeded intervention with Iran. Iran gaining a nuclear weapon won't do anything other than end Israel's ability to bully. However, Obama is endangering the value of the petro dollar, losing valuable players in the Middle East, and instigating Iran to make alliances with people who are not in the American best interest.

Obama, in this election year, is making the US look to be a thug.

I totally agree !!! Paul would get us out of this damned Control the Middle East mindset and stop the favoritism in our foreign policy, both of which combined, has brought about the blowback for several decades now. 9-11 included. Blowback was the problem, not "they hate our freedoms'. WHAT A CROCK that bush statement was. Santorum would fall right in line with such beliefs.

Paul would have us minding our own business, ending the status quo to control 'oil for our interests' and investing here at home, perfecting other sources of energy.

Santorum, I think, would ensure more and more war and if anything give more reasons for blowback to occur.

I agree...Santorum is just all kinds of being the wrong guy at the wrong time. He needs to just go away. This spring and early summer may well prove to be one of the most topsy-turvy tumultuous political campaigns EVER! At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the eventual nominee turns out to be someone who is as of yet not even running.icon_rolleyes.gif
