"I’m here to save America from communism,” the former "Saturday Night Live" cast member and Tea Party activist Victoria Jackson said at the Conservative Political Action Conference last weekend in Washington. As she walked the corridors she was treated like a rock star by CPAC attendees who raised their fists to her, shook her hand and thanked her for her far-Right political activism.

"The people of California voted that they did not believe that gay marriage -- no gay marriage," she explained to HuffPost Gay Voices. "They voted that. A judge, probably gay, activist judge, overturned that. That’s what I’m talking about -- communism."

She explained further that it could lead to living in pods. "Do you know what the housing is going to be like when we all live in a pod?" she asked. "And we all take public transit? It's going to be Russia. It's going to be Cuba."

As CPAC attendees who passed by expressed their gratitude to her for, as one described it, "speaking the truth," Jackson offered her thoughts on Barack Obama: "This president was raised marxist. His parents, his grandparents, his college professors, his whole life, he’s been immersed in marxism, even his church. Jeremiah Wright did not preach Christianity. He preached black liberation theology, which is marxism disguised as religion."

And she’s not happy with the Republican field either: "Republicans and the Democrats are looking the same these days. Newt Gingrich and Mitt are socialists. I think Santorum is the only conservative."

Mock, she's a 'conservative' and a mouthpiece.. and one wonders why the conservative movement (which is NOT conservative) is imploding and turning into a dirty word.icon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif

Well she's a stupid conservative, and obviously a religious social conservative who likes big government when it regulates what people want to do in their bedroom or whom they want to love.

I actually took the time to hear some of her commentary on different shows. She is batshit crazy. A complete psycho looney. It's as if she's joking the whole time she's taking a position and it's actually real.

What amazes me about this CPAC group that gives the likes of this far right nut a forum to speak in, is there there were only a little over 3000 in attendance. Yet the Mainstream media gives it the attention you might expect they'd give to a groups opinions from a 300,000 person crowd .

Who is calling the shots in the media to give these idiots this kind of air time for religious fanaticism mixing with government ? Paul frequently draws crowds well over these CPAC numbers and where is his equal air time ?

Maybe she's a down low female version of Stephen Colbert!

Or maybe she just did too much coke back in the eighties.

    Either way she's a a joke.

It's sad but unsurprising that she doesn't realize that communism is an economic system that has nothing to do with how civil rights are adjudicated in democratic republic. icon_rolleyes.gif

I was SOOOOOO disappointed to learn a few months back that she went nuts. I loved her on SNL back in the day. Ugh. What may be more crazy is that people listen to her jibberjabber and think it makes sense.

No one on the right knows what communism or socialism is. They just know they hate them.

Remember, to conservatives, knowledge is elitist, liberal, faggy, and socialist. Slogan on the right: "Stupid as we wanna be! Fuck yeah!"

This encapsulates the saddest part of the modern-day Republican party -- their celebration of ignorance. The party of Abraham Lincoln has become the party of Sarah Palin. Republicans from 30 or 40 years ago wouldn't even recognize the trailer-park / redneck mentality that now motivates every decision.
Now that it looks like they are about to lose another national election, I hope it motivates some serious introspection/soul-searching and honest assessment of where they went wrong. Maybe 2 decades of kissing up to racists, homophobes and the lowest common denominator was not such a good idea after all?

THANK YOU!!! It's like they've passed down the word "socialism" from the Nazi's (Nazi=National Socialist) and therefore it will always be a bad word - when the Nazi's weren't really socialist at all - unless you happened to be a straight non-jewish, non-catholic, non-gypsy, non-freethinker and preferably had blond hair and an Adonis build. And same goes with communism when there has never been a true communist government, not by the original Marxist ideal - which has nothing to do with the weird crap that Victoria Jackson is spewing.

I would LOVE to find out that this is all just her new version of Andy Kaufman and his crazy rants. How delicious would it be if she turned around a month from now and says "that was a lot of fun, those teabaggers are loons".

Will Victoria Jackson continue to play the victim after her attack on gay families?

I had no idea Victoria Jackson had become such a dramatic, delusional ass:

    http://gma.yahoo.com/celeb-romney-supporters-rant-online-173016515.html

    Victoria Jackson

Former "Saturday Night Live" star and comedian Victoria Jackson made headlines over the past year for some controversial comments, including a suggestion on her Internet talk show "Politichicks" that President Obama is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and suggestions on "The Howard Stern Show" that gay marriage will "make God mad."

After Obama's victory, Jackson, in a flurry of Internet posts, announced the death of America, telling her followers that she "can't stop crying," and taking Christians to task for not voting.

"America died," she wrote on her Twitter feed. "I can't stop crying. America died."

Jackson also posted on her Facebook page an image of a tombstone that said, "RIP America."

Later, she tweeted, "Thanks a lot Christians, for not showing up. You disgust me."

....and then I also found this thread.
Wow. She's dead to me now.

YourName2000 saidGotta say, she's a lot more laughably funny now than she ever was on SNL.

She's another one of those idiots who does our work for us every time she opens her mouth....a gay group should fund her national tour, with a follow up by one of us after every one of her speeches: "this is why we need equal rights...this is the idiocy we're fighting against...these are the people who hate us."

    THIS!!!
