She seems upset. Hehe I've looked over just to see how fast the other person is going and then increased my speed by 0.1 icon_smile.gif

Dom Mazzeti has this peculiar humor that I find really funny, but lately his videos are kind of boring.

Sheesh. She's competitive and won't admit it.

I get curious. Especially if the guy is hot.

I find it painful to watch someone obviously working on weight loss but on a flat incline working on speed. Someone needs to say something. That little graph thing doesn't care what speed you're running.

Precor software knows that flab loss comes with the Incline, not speed.

*really* wish someone could travel back in time and convince me of this about 5 years ago when I started. I'd be done with the last 30lbs already.icon_sad.gif

I've been keeping a list with my workout partner of weird things we see at the gym:

    Eating Panda Express between sets
Singing at the top of your lungs for half a stanza
Having a conversation on the phone while sprinting.

    Just to name a few.

They only thing that pisses me off is when people put the weights back in the wrong spot.

Why on earth does she care what some random neighbor on the elliptical thinks?

Now, the guys that walk for two hours on the treadmill despite a 30 minute limit and a line of six people, those I find despicable. Especially when they cover the display so that nobody sees what they are doing.

Or how about the guy that throw the dumbbells to the floor after a set, regardless of the feet they might land on?

Or the guy that drops a towel each on five different pieces of equipment because he's doing circuit training and doesn't want anyone to interfere?

Or the guy that sits on a machine, talking on the phone, not letting you work in because he's going to be "done in a sec?"

    ...

That is really sad. Circuit? 5 machines?
Have you mentioned these issues to management? Not just the droids at the front desk? This is the kind of stuff that causes the gym to lose patrons or have a random act of violence to hit the news. They need to know.

Kind of funny since I also use the Elliptical in the gym.... I usually don't pay much attention to whose beside me unless I know them and am usually focused on what I need to do. Kind of funny her commentary.

I hate people who throw or just drop equipment on the ground and then after doing it then just seem to have talk really loud to let the world know what they've done. Who cares?

People who seem to talk more on their phones then actually work out and then get made at you when you look at them funny because of the conversation they having with whoever. Girl: "Pfffft. I'll call you later, girl. People are listening to my convo." Bitch! You're talking loud enough for the people outside of the gym to hear you and no one cares about what you eat when you're on your period. Guy: "I'll catch you later, Brah! People are nosy." Actually, we aren't. You're just talking loud in a crowded room on your bluetooth about why your supposed girlfriend who won't go down on you anymore because you developed a mysterious rash and you don't know how you got it because you said you used protection when you banged some random chick the other day. That's a little TMI, Brah!

People who use the equipment like walls and just lean on them for long periods of time and deceive others into thinking they are actually being used. Even worse, they are talking to someone who is doing the exact same thing. Even more worse is when you ask if they are using it and they say "No" and then you make it obvious that you wanna use the equipment and so you begin using it but they are still just standing there acting they are gonna use it after you. WTF.?

    LOL

    Panda Express?

There's a guy at my gym who drinks a Mountain Dew during his workout.
    Every time.

GOD I know what you mean! There's this dude that does bicep curls in our gym's only squat rack, and he spends 5 minutes between his sets on GrindR. icon_mad.gificon_mad.gificon_mad.gificon_mad.gif

I go to a cramped gym in NYC so I'm probably extra-sensitive to this but....there are some ppl who are completely oblivious to where they are in space and how much room they're taking up.....just in their own little insular world.....monopolizing machines between sets, blocking a pathway for no reason, Putting on their sweatshirt right in front of the only water fountain, leaving their weights in barbells, etc.....

I am *so* thankful that my new gym is relatively quiet. There's a decent amount of space for the number of people there, and I haven't seen much loutish behaviour.

But based on past experience, equipment-hoggers are the biggest irritant for me.

My pet peeve is the people who can't be bothered to wipe their sweat off the equipment. Please! There are wipes everywhere- use them!

Pet peeve...people who sit on weight machines for 5 minutes between sets and pretend not to see others waiting.
