I hate winter, I need spring and summer back... Day 5 of being sick and I can't take it anymore. I haven't been sick in about 4 years and it's like it's all playing catch up now. To top it off I'm bored lol
TrevorMark saidI'd love to feel bad for you but I was sick sick for 2 and a half months. During that time where my immune system was down I got a cold, a bacterial drip into my heart and lungs, Tonsillitis and Pneumonia.
Mine was a severe case of Mono that lead to me blacking out and not having enough energy to even leave a bed. Now I have enlarged tonsils and a enlarged spleen that if hit just right will rupture.
Buck up, son. You have it easy.
Italiandude5 saidokay well this wasn't a pitty party and i wastnt looking for sympathy so. thanks anyway

Art_Deco saidAren't you guys getting an annual flu shot? I have for the last 30+ years (the Army enforced it for much of that time), and I haven't had the flu since I started getting those shots. I also get a pneumonia shot (and I've had that disease, too), though that's usually only given to those over 50.Agree 100% with this.
Flu can be prevented or its effects lessened with the annual vaccination, you know.

Have you reached the horny part?
ZbmwM5 saidI would have been at the doctor on day 2, but that's just me :-)
As someone who gets strep oh, every 6 weeks or so, I can feel your pain. But not having gotten sick in FOUR years? I'm quite jealous.
I'm going to be getting my tonsils out in like 10 days, so... that will be a nice 14 day recovery period. Here's to hoping you feel better and that I dont die under the knife!

maxferguson saidThis is going to sound super gross (and it is...) but whenever I get a cold, I do two things. 1.) cut out all the dairy. 2.) snort salt water.
My uncles and ENT surgeon and says that is the most effective way to dry things out for a head cold. I have to admit, it works pretty well if you can get past the warm salt water.
Import saidI've been sick for about 10 days and am just starting to feel better.
It's a real bitch. It started off with a stomach flu.... So I was throwing up and shitting my brains out for like 2 days straight... awful AWFUL experience. I wanted to literally die, ugh!!!
After that subsided I noticed a tickle in the back of my throat. I thought it was from being dehydrated cuz of the stomach flu. NOPE. Turns out it was a viscious head cold starting. a day and half later it's a full blown sore throat, congested nose, headache, swollen tonsils, etc. Again, i'm miserbale.
Today is like the first day in almost 2 weeks that I'm actually feeling pretty good. Not like 100% back to normal, but im getting there. It feels good.
I hate winter illnesses. They're gross!!! Perhaps if we all moved somewhere really warm all year long there'd be no winter illness?
