Bullshit title! Nothing was said about "arresting" anyone. He's calling for an investigation.

Talk to @PaulBabeuAZ about it, not me.

“There were legitimate crimes that were committed,” Babeu said. However, he added he had no plans to take legal actions against Jose."

Good for Sheriff Babeu. Sadly, he is tried, convicted, and prosecuted before the true facts of all these allegations made by someone who clearly has their own agenda. He deserves the chance for this to be thoroughly investigated and himself exonerated if the allegations are false and/or blown way out of proportion by the media. Good for Sheriff Babeu!

Haha Looks like the GOP has asked the GAY COP to drop his congressional bid. GOP is acting as judge and jury in this case and had rendered the their verdict: GUILTY.

    Yup.
It's not the Democrats who are trying to drive Babeu out of the race.
    It's the gay-hating Repubs.
The AZ Democrats would LOVE to have Baboner stay in the race!

TPMMUCKRACKERHe also said that his enemies had “shopped around” stories about his sexual orientation for years, but that no one in the media had taken the bait until now. He described the more serious accusations by his former lover as “the vehicle” by which the story was finally able to get out.

“This is 20-plus years that I’ve had numerous people that would threaten this to me, to expose me, go to my chain of command even in the military and have done so,” he said. “It’s almost as if there’s a relief today, to be able to not be threatened.”

The above is sad, but he should know that his potential enemies run by a different set of rules.
The politics of personal destruction is in full force when it comes to the fight between Democrats and Republicans.

Perhaps next our homocon brethren would have us believe that Sherrif Babeu was forced into the GOP by dastardly liberal Democrats?

    Doesn't matter.

    I'd still fuck him.

I whole-heartedly agree, Musclmed. I sincerely hope Paul Babeu continues his fight and let the voters decide. His sexuality, which has been used as a weapon against him his entire career, should not define him (or anyone else). I hope this circumstance will be not only liberating for him personally, but also a defining moment in terms of gays within the Republican party --- at least here in Arizona. I know that he has a tough fight and an uphill climb, but I and many others are supporting him. No one is denying that he didn't use the best judgement by posting photos online. But, let's be real, who here isn't guilty of the same thing?

He is defined as the GAY sheriff for all eternity. Gay defines him now. And the GOP has wholeheartedly kicked the BIG GAY COP to the curb!

His political fight is essentially a referrendum on gay conservatism. If BIG GAY loses the congressional race, gay conservatives WILL forever be banished from the Republican party.

It's quite telling that the letter asking Paul Babeu to quit his campaign lists the alleged ex-boyfriend as simply "Jose" --- a testament to the lack of real solid information they or anyone else actually have regarding the alleged "misuse of power". You can bet that this whole thing will be thoroughly investigated, and if Paul Babeu is found guilty of wrong doing, he will have to face the music. However, unless that day ever actually comes, I hope Sheriff Babeu tells the Cafe Con Leche Republicans to go fuck themselves -- and that he forge on with his campaign.

I would say for myself, one of the the biggest turn offs from the left is the Saul Alinksy style "Anything for the cause" tactics.

Some have convinced themselves that it is beneficial to some "movement" to utilize someones sexual orientation as a neutralizing political tool.

At least he didnt deny the Adam4adam pictures.

Maybe this Republican was being blackmailed by a nasty spitful Democrat, and he was forced to put a stop to the blackmail. As we well know a republican has the ability to love a democrat, but Democrats put to many limitations on their ability to love back; where is the love?

Well apparently he was working on his campaign. It would even be more shocking if the guy was an illegal alien. From reports apparently he is here legally , so one wonders what a threat of "deportation " would mean.

So far the guy looks real reckless by allowing to mix his personal life with his professional life.

Would he hire him to his Congressional staff if he one? BIG MISTAKE ala Mcgreevy.
