    So, with the whole oppressive abortion laws that have been flying through our state house, our country has been receiving a lot of negative backlash from the media:



    We've also had some fairly large protests at our capital by many women (1,000+? I think the count was).

    So...right now, Bob McDonnell states that he hopes the bill to be amended and will probably not sign it in its current state...We'll see how this pans out, but it's at least providing good fodder for some damn good comedy sketches.

    Guess they couldn't stand all the negative backlash and knew that they would have no chance in hell of being re-elected if they did this.

    It basically states that now only an abdominal ultrasound would be required and not a vaginal one (still stupid and intrusive) and still doesn't change the definition of life or make exceptions for miscarriages or rape (under VA law, as things will be defined, someone could contest that a miscarriage was involuntary manslaughter due to the definition of life beginning at conception)..... Seems like there is a lot of work to do still - I don't think the issue is anywhere near being dead.
