CPAC is over so we can't blame it on that
But our own gaggle of republican clones are all but gone
    Have ya noticed ?

I used to check in and get a laugh or two with their posts but .... For the last week or two it's been completely SANE around here

I have a theorem .... That they have been completely and utterly embarrassed by their own party as of late
The Romney mess...... Anybody but Romney?
The soaring popularity of a joke of a man named Santorum?
Hey I hide for a week if I was in a party who was about to nominnate someone like that
Or the Citizens United clusterf**k? Where at this moment one out of every four dollars that has been spent by the republican candidates has been SPENT BY FIVE PEOPLE????

Or could it be the abortion slash contraception slash shame on you for having sex brigade the republicans have been trotting out lately
A panel on contraception WITHOUT ANY WOMEN ON THE PANEL
An abortion bill that mandates an Ultrasonic dildo being put up your private parts
Or Santorums sugarDaddy telling us that in his day women put an aspirin between their Knesset to prevent pregnancies

When you become the laughing stock of SNL ..... Youre in deep Sh*t

    ........ Ask Sara Palin

Oh and btw .... Don't hurry back

    Don't forget Babonergate.
    Fucking embarrassing that.

And the DOMA court case decision that agreed with the Obama administration's decision last year that DOMA is unconstitutional.
That was a major loss for the House Repubs who put together the legal team that was on the losing side in the court case that found DOMA to be unconstitutional.

And then there was that train wreck of a debate last night.
Hard to pick who came off as the most repellent and fact-challenged candidate of the four losers who participated.

So many reasons for the RJ Repubs to want to check out!

What's interesting to me, being one of those that can be conservative, liberal, or NDP as I choose, is that from a liberal perspective someone should be the first to lay down their Arms of Acrimony and Divisions, and that someone is usually the most diplomatic and genuine, kind and inclusive, hallmarks of being a liberal.

You know catfish, I have some anger in me at what has been done to you, with Fif inferring threats with his IRS crap. I also know that him doing that pissed off more people than the conservative posters on here realize.

Thanks for your concern. But ihis threats fall under the category of political theater. Just for entertainment purposes. No real validity or actual basis in reality.

You apparently subscribe to the "turn the other cheek" philosophy. Unfortunately our right-wing opponents do not. They strike our other check, hit us in the gut, knock us down and stomp on us.

Forgive me, but I see no future in being a punching bag for the US right wing. I will always punch back, and I'm glad there are other guys here with the balls to do the same. icon_biggrin.gif

    OK catfish. icon_wink.gif

I have a couple of RJ Republicans I consider friends and I'd like them to feel able to post without too much, er, political theatre aimed at them.

Perhaps this is why not too much stuff Canadian gets discussed in here ; up here in cold Canada political theatre doesn't play well.

Cupcake. I recall it was you who started with the punches, and abuse, to repress the truth. I now just talk back and laugh at you; you really need to take off those Rose Colored glasses, you are not as classy as you like to see yourself. Not my fault I never had to learn to be gay as you have, nor have I ever used and abused people in the way you have for self advancement either, nor is it my fault I have experience with HIV?AIDS you never had, but you like to see yourself as a self proclaimed experticon_lol.gif

I've also noticed when you are pressed for the truth, and called out on your lies, you go all silent.icon_wink.gif

    Nice guys finish last.

The Repubs NEVER make the mistake of going soft when it comes to political warfare.

When you're fighting for something important it's foolish to lay down your arms.

Being nice when it comes to personal relationships is important and essential IMO.

Being nice in war is not wise.

We can all play "nice" AFTER THE ELECTION.

But a republican has the ability to love a democrat, but a democrat has no such ability to love.icon_wink.gif From what I have seen over the years at RJ, a conservative may express their political view and it turns into a flame war of hate from the left; Republicans just don't agree with many of the lefts ideals, or hate.

Normally I just ignore your inane rantings, but since some others here might read your post and be innocently misled -

Please provide an example of how I have used and abused people for self-advancement.

As for HIV/AIDS, I willingly partnered with a guy who was HIV poz. I went to all his doctor visits with him for several years, I learned how to take care of him. I saved his life twice, when he went into convulsions and was near death, at considerable risk to myself.

Eventually he became terminal from PML, an AIDS condition, and I was at his side every day, all day, for his last 6 weeks. He literally died in my arms.

Now I'm involved with several HIV/AIDS non-profits, a major financial contributor to them. In fact, 2 days ago I was in the office of the CEO of Florida's largest HIV/AIDS agency, and we were doing some golf putting on his carpet, my latest fad. I'm setting up a bike ride fundraiser just for them, and yesterday I rode 100 miles in our car to check out a possible bike route.

To say I have no experience with HIV/AIDS, either in my private life or publicly, is rather offensive on your part. Especially since you've been told of my involvement before. Rather, I think it's YOU who need to state your credentials, before you throw out reckless charges against me or anyone else.

catfish5 saidWow. Kudos to you for all your hard work!

Thank you, sir. The above is just a fraction of what I and my partner have done for HIV/AIDS causes. And what each of us went through when we lost our partners to AIDS. We are both AIDS "widowers" which is the motivation that drives us. And that makes us a perfect match as partners. Both of us doubted we'd ever find another partner at our ages, yet it happened, an ideal pairing. icon_biggrin.gif

My partner (these days I'm increasingly saying "husband" even if it isn't strictly legal) is a co-founder of the SMART Ride to Key West, that's raised millions for HIV/AIDS. This last November, 2011, we raised nearly $700,000. Just him, me, and a couple dozen other dedicated guys & gals.

And so when this person in Australia disses my efforts with the HIV/AIDS community I really do get upset. Maybe him just pushing my buttons for his own sick enjoyment, I dunno, but I do feel the need to set the record straight, for the benefit of others who read these forums.

I'd like others to also help those with HIV/AIDS, and to work towards education and prevention. Most US cities have such programs, and I would encourage everyone here to explore volunteer and sponsorship options with them.

Can we just not reply to him at all? By even giving attention to his delusional rants about bo-na-fide-ho-mo-sex-u-als and the hateful democrats (while calling them names, nonetheless), we are just encouraging him to seek truth in his ramblings and delusions.

I can deal with a lot of political beliefs that vary from my own, but using someone's time that they came out to define them as a not "bonafide homosexual" or to use bisexuality as an insult is just beyond ludicrous.
