For my next anniversary, my gift is going to be a road trip to the Grand Canyon, then onto Yellowstone, and on the way home we will stop off at Hawaii for a week, for rest and shopping. I am like icon_eek.gificon_razz.gif

Don't encourage him guys. It's all bullshit.Seems a weird road trip Grand Canyon to Yellowstone. This is the only way he gets anyone to pay him any attention.

TBA which one of your two husbands are you taking and won't the one being left at home be pissed?.

I was to find out in the last 24 hours, as I need to make plans to take almost 8 weeks off work. I'm lucky I have a job were I am able to ask for so much leave, providing I have it accumulated, and since I don't take leave every year, I do.

Thanks guys for your kind e-mails too. I do know there will be a lot of ground traveled. Yes I have been to the US before, and my husband of 20+ years is also an American. It's long been a dream of mine to see Yellowstone, and to be true, I truly never thought I would, as we keep going to Hawaii, and places around Oz.

Spud, even if the whole world did not belive a truth, it's still a truth, just as if the whole world was to belive your lies, they still would be lie. Mate go get a face and a profile. it's sad for you that my happiness brings you disdain. But you can't take my joy away from me. Oh and also in Oz we have a right to be indiviguals and vote the way we wish, being a Bona fide homosexual and voting conservative does not make you a bad poof in Oz.icon_wink.gificon_idea.gif

Oh PS spud if you were up to date on the facts you would know one only has one husband and has done so for a few years now; dead people don't get pissed eithericon_idea.gif

But hate blinds many to the truth. Why should this we weird? Yellowstone is for me, and Grand Canyon for my husband, albeit I'm looking forward to seeing it too. What are we expected to go to gay bars? Nope rather do State and National Parks; as I am on outdoors kind of guyicon_wink.gif

Footnote:falling in love is easy, but staying in love is special. To think this guy wants to treat me the same way he did 20+ years ago; I am truly blessed.

You know, you fly to the US first. Or one could even take a cruise to the US mainland, there are a number of choices. But this is a gift, so one can not ask for to much, so a flight to LA X will suffice. We will save the cruise for another time, that is on the wish list.

Yellowstone here we come. I just wish I could have my dogs with me. But still I'm so icon_razz.gificon_cool.gif

    Spud,

I am from Ohio and we drive out west every year and just go to a bunch of national parks...How is Grand Canyon to Yellowstone weird? If thats what they want to see, then thats not weird at all. Why would you write on here trying to take joy away from someone who is excited about it. Im glad for you man, I can only hope one day to be married to a great guy and get to travel with him. Enjoy it!

Thank you for your kind words. I too hope the sun of good fortune shines down on you, and you also get to feel and experience the joy I do too. yes I do have a good man; but like all long term relationships they take work, as everyday is not a beautiful vista.

The distance from the Grand canyon to Yellowstone is not all that diffrent from a drive from Melbourne to Sydney, and I've done that in a day many a time. But we will take a few days to do it, stoping off along the way, as well I want too see a bit of AZ, and catch up with a few friends and family there too.icon_razz.gif

I don't have a dog in the fight, but it seems obvious you are a sock account. Member all of a month so how would you know TBA's background? Your profile is empty too. Whatever TBA's situation may be, I think it is more offensive for a sock account to go on the attack.

Well pointed out! Much the same has crossed my mind, but I was not going to say anything. I even have a thought on who it is! Someone who loved to abuse me, and I just started to ignore him, and I think that done his head in.

    But thanks mate.

Congrats on the surprise. That's an awesome itinerary. 8 weeks is quite a long time. You'll need 8 more weeks to recover! Happy and safe traveling to you and your hubbie!
