Is It Just Me, Or Is Jon Huntsman Sounding Like a 3rd Party Candidate Here?

This morning on "MORNING JOE". He would never do it, but I sure wish he would.

I really, really like his position on prosecuting the executives involve in causing the Great Recession.

Ditto. Plus why would you want him to run as a third party candidate? He wouldn't have a chance, and though he could take a few votes away from both parties, he would more likely hurt the Republicans. Assuming Santorum is not the candidate, is that situation to your liking?

I think he could give the Republicans a run for their money. I doubt he could beat Obama. But I think enough people are fed up with the Repuglicans and Democrats to give a third party candidate a chance.

He's just yammering inchoate nonsense actually.

The problem with 3rd Parties is that people who pine for them seem to think a 3rd Party would look Libertarian: balanced budgets but no Bible beating.

In America the opposite is probably more true: a Santorum-ish Daddy Government. Soaring spending and a nanny state Goliath making sure we're all on the straight and narrow.

Unfortunately at this stage of the game, Jon Huntsman is technically a third party candidate because he has not won a GOP primary as of yet. Probably the best of the GOP candidates but because of the steady decline in the number of moderates, progressives, and fiscal conservatives in the GOP, Jon Huntsman is not going to gain any traction in this presidential primary race. He is too progressive and too moderate for all the narrow minded, bible thumping screwballs.
