OK I'm only 21 and I have grey hairs. It freaks me out having it and I'm worried how it might make me look because it seems like I'm getting more than the few I found a couple months back (when I was 20!). Anyone else around my age have grey hairs and how do you guys deal with it? I'm a more natural guy so I don't wanna dye it or anything...

PS: I didn't think there was anywhere else to post this on here so I guess this was the best place. Sorry if it isn't and feel free to move it where it belongs.

I started getting grey hair in high school. But it was random strands and not patches. So it wasn't too noticeable. I didn't care. It was always a funny conversation starter though. icon_lol.gif

If you're that worried about it, you shouldn't totally rule out hair dye. Today's over the counter dyes come in various colors/shades and look more natural. I still see a lot of the older guys use the crappy brands that make their hair look like it was doused in shoe polish. icon_confused.gif

Yeah well I get a few random strands, moreso I only see one strand that's noticeable while the rest I was just judging was grey although it could have been the light (excuse to avoid the truth that I have grey hair lol)

Well thanks, I'll try to avoid dying as much as possible but it is a funny topic of interest in conversation.

I noticed my first gray hairs at 17 and was pretty much all gray by 35.

I'll take my thick gray hair any day over my friends with their receding hairlines, bald spots and shaved heads.

Totally agreed here. Some guys look way better as a silver fox anyway. Just czech out pictures of Anderson Cooper when he was young. He's waaay hotter now.

If it bothers you, dye it.

I started getting random grey hairs when I was 18. This really started accelerating in my late 20's. I did dye it for a decade or so, but came to terms with it before hitting 40 and stopped.

Thankfully, thick greying hair is often considered sexy. I haven't suffered for it! icon_wink.gif

NOT the end of the world. You could dye it, but I say be who you are. Grey hair on a good looking guy is attractive...at least I think so.

If you don't like it, try Just For Men semi-permanent hair dye. Go a few shades lighter than your normal shade.

    I've had grays since I was 11.

A lot of guys like that I don't dye it. I say try it out, if you feel that uncomfortable then dye it - either way it's not the end of the world.

u can always dye it...... or "blend it"

I have a friend whos my age (2icon_cool.gif and he "blends" his hair about every 5 to 6 weeks.

Can't even tell he dies it....but it makes the gray less noticeable. I mean after 35...who cares if you're gray? as long as u still have ur hair

I don't have this issue but for what it's worse I don't think grey hair looks bad, just like any other hair color.

I think gray hair can look really good on a guy. But, I gotta admit that I'm not complaining that at 50, I'm only just beginning to get more than the occasional random gray hair.

Thanks guys, you all are right. It's not the end of the world and better grey than bald!

PS: Gotta be honest, I don't find grey to be sexy all the time, depends on the guy.

Had em since I was 14. When you're that young it's kind of neat, like OMG I'M SO GROWN UP. Never paid all that much attention to them since.

Started turning grey in my mid 20s, got it from my grandfather. It's stayed mostly above my ears and I get nothing but compliments... doesn't bother me a bit.

I personally like both the gray-haired/salt-and-pepper look and the completely shaved bald look. I wouldn't worry about it. A lot of people like it.

Grey hair on any guy can look sexy done right.

Had a friend who dyed his hair blue for a football game, when he washed it out it turned his hair gray for months but looked great on him!
