I've had some straight friends who have had some success with dating via eharmony and the like.

I'm thinking of joining one myself in order to weed through the masses that can be found on gay.com. craigslist, etc.

Has anybody had any experiences with the gay options like match.com or chemistry.com. Are there any others?

Let's hear your experience or what you've heard from anybody else.
    Thanks

I say go for it.....experience it...........you can have opportunities to enjoy and meet new people. Everyone is different. I'm starting to hate it.......because of the added layer of wierdness and distance.........and am turning back to meeting people the old fashioned way....in person.

You can get sucked in always checking your messages and seeing if someone is interested in you. You can spend a lot of time emailing back and forth.....and even talking on the phone if everything SEEMS ok, plan to meet....It's a crap shoot.... Remember, there is this thing called CHEMISTRY......either it's there or it is not. So you spend all this time blah blah on internet dating.....youy meet him......and there is NO CHEMISTRY.

That's why I am going back to meeting people in person, for sexy resons.

But a good thing about internet "whatever" gay sites you can also meet great guys and make freindships.....connections........socializing....it doesn;t always have to be about sex or searching for your knight in shining armour.

Men connect on different levels....it's all good....internet dating sites can facilitate meeting guys.......but realize that it is nothing until you actually meet the guy in person.

Keep an eye out for ads on this site. Sometimes gay dating ones pop up. But I don't remember the names to post. Also, connexion.org is a nice place. Sort of like myspace but gay. You can find plenty of date potentials there and it's not remotely as sleezy as craigslist.

I'm not looking for the free sites, I'm looking the pay-for-service sites such as chemistry.com or match.com. Presumably those ones will help weed through the masses. The free ones are virtually impossible to meet anyone of quality. Perhaps the pay ones are the same but that's why I'm looking for other people's experiences
