Manning should be released rather than punished for exposing the truth. Anyone read from the team that exposed the Pentagon Papers, I understand they believe Manning is in the same class as they were. (names slip my mind now and I'll look them up)

Manning should be drawn and quartered.

I'm fine with Manning being nominated. Frankly, I find it disgraceful that he is being held without trial for so long. From what I read, they have sufficient evidence to bring him to trial. The government should do so posthaste.

This! The prosecutors are grinning ear to ear and will make an easy example of him. No matter how much the business of our Govt and military need airing out he did it and could be prosecuted as a trator and executed. Quite likely he will get life at hard labor. Breaking rocks out of boulders. In Kansas (Ft. Leavenworth).

I'm fine with him being tried and even found guilty but I oppose the death penalty even for traitors.

They already said they wouldnt be seeking the death penalty. Trying him for treason might be a bit much, i don't think he's a traitor. I have no problem trying him for the disemination of classified material, but treason? Also, the nobel peace prize became a joke the second they gave it to a guy for being elected.
