Definitely a huge Mass Effect fan here, and very glad that they've finally included M/M love interests, been plumbing bioware social for info but also trying my hardest to avoid spoilers. from what people have found there are at least more than one LI and they seem equally thought out as the others.

PE_Teacher saidWhat is this you speak of? Never heard of it.

It's a video game where you can start a romance with a character of the opposite sex. Funny thing is since you can chose your characters sex, they have it programmed for same sex relationships but you just couldn't do it before (if you approach a prospect for a female Shepard as a male one, sometimes it looks a little saucy) so its nice to have the option this time around.

looks like kaiden is a certainty but vega seems to be a 'flirt only' option for both mans hep and femshep.

also OHMYGOD SHEP IN UNDIES (someone hacked the demo files)

Kaidan is a go, but Vega is not sadly. There are two openly gay members aboard your crew this time though, one lesbian, one gay. Both who are romance-able to their respective genders.

PE_Teacher saidWhy would anyone waste their time on such an program. I say get outside and LIVE life with real human beings and quit living in a fantasy world. icon_eek.gif

its the same as watching a tv show or a movie. people who play games don't ALWAYS play games and stay inside all the time. plus some games have better stories than a lot of tv shows and movies! mass effect being one of them in my opinion.

Story telling has been part of the human culture for many generations, far since you have been born. Sure, it has changed and evolved to different mediums, but sometimes we want to see a world and imagination someone has created.

If you cannot understand that, then you are a very sad man.

I worked so hard to get Kaidan to flip in ME1. Hopefully exhausting every conversation option with him will lead to some good stuff icon_smile.gif

looks like kaiden (bi) and a new character who is m/m exclusive, steve cortez. people who have read the dialog really like cortez so far.

This is nothing new in VG. Both EA and Bioware have included gay character options in previous titles, though it is new territory for the Mass Effect franchise. It's a big deal for gaymers, and a great way for the VG industry to show its love and support.

In its own way, the title helps to open the hearts and minds of even the most hateful gamer. Brilliant!

My office called to let me know I have some packages in my office. I'll go out of my way to be there tomorrow b/c I know one of those packages has to be a review copy of ME3. If it is, I'll post my thoughts (and maybe some pics) after a few hours of gameplay.

ahh so jealous! its hard to wait even just till tuesday at this point! the guys on the bioware social network are foaming at the mouth for the s/s LI details. and yeah bioware has always been ahead of the curve, its seemed to me like EA that was the one holding mass effect specifically back, plus its technically a shooter, which tend to have very un-evolved players. its just great to see some visibility in that world finally, especially with visibility in general being such a crucial thing.

Life is best doing a lot of living in reality, dreaming of your life's possibilities, and fantasizing beyond what reality has to offer. Without fantasy and letting your imagination run wild, how can progress be made or understood.

    Lol. Give it a rest dude, it's just a game ; )
