can you answer them without looking for the answers?

1. Former Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens wore what number when he first played in New York?

2. In 1929 the Yankees became the first team to make numbers a permanent part of their uniforms. In what season, what player, who would go on to become a colorful manager, wore the no 7 because he batted seventh in the lineup?

3. Former Yankee second baseman Alfonso Soriano made his big-league debut in 1999 and wore no 66 to start the season. For how many games did Soriano wear no 66?

Agreed, although the quiz somehow ignores the Mantle/Maris era of the sixties.
