I am on this other fitness site that tracks how many calories you burn throughout the day vs how many you consume ; and I am really not sure how this stuff works so I am asking it here. This is what it says I burned today and I was active for 459 of them but am confused about the other numbers..

    Calories Burned Today
    cals % total
    Total: 3352
    Basal: 1942 58%
    Lifestyle: 950 28%
    Activities: 459 14%

Now, I consumed 1,550 today and wonder how many calories did I lose today, do I just subtract what I consumed from the total burned and is this total accurate.

Another question is - my goal is to lose 36 pounds in 24 weeks - possible ? I am 5'10 and weigh 194.

    Thanks guys !

I don't know how to answer your questions about calories. Caslon's link should probably answer them.

To lose 36 pounds in 24 weeks, you'd have to lose about 1.5 pounds a week. My partner has been doing this over the last few months, so it's definitely doable. It means lots of hard work, but it's definitely possible.
