Anyone participate before? It seems like something you need to do before you die. Definitely an adrenaline rush of a different kind.

To some dudes this might be enjoyable..

If you're not into bulls there's always the Running of the Nudes.

OMG they are soooo cute! Labrador puppies? icon_biggrin.gif

As for the running of the bulls, no thanks, I don't feel this need to prove how macho I am by getting my rectum pierced by a bull's horn!

    Did it in 2006!
    VIVA SAN FERMIN!

It's not quite the athletic event I was expecting... the run is short, and everybody else is drunk (I, at least, was only hungover). But the whole event is a party, definitely something you need to see and do before you die.

Best part is the end of the run, when you get locked in the ring with a couple little bulls... good times.

This year at Carnival, a group dressed as this. Every so often they would run through the streets of Sitges blowing whistles, dressed in white with the red bandanas, then one guy ran behind them pushing a shopping cart done up as a large black bull. I laughed so hard i fell... of course i was also drunk so that may have made it more funny.

    JMS84:

I'm a bit slow and didn't understand the humor in your video, Running of the Jew. Actually, it's a bit offensive like a Polish joke. It's not my intention to beat you over the head, but in the future when this kind of humor enters your mind, try to think how the person on the butt of your joke is going to feel. Come out of your shell and learn to experience people so that they are classified by their character. Then there is no need for stereotypes. If I have grossly misunderstood your message, please accept my apology.

The running of the bulls and the tomatina festival are both on my list of things to do before I die. They may be coming up soon though because I've already done a lot of the other things on the list. Either that or I need to come up with a bigger list.

The film "Boratz" was actually more offensive towards the inhabitants of Kazakstan than Jews. I've never been to Kazakstan so I really don't know how they feel about Jews and Gypsies. The film portrays them as being very backwards and ignorant. It did feature Bob Barr though, his scene was hilarious.

    Nabob,

for starters, i did think of how the person at the butt of this joke would feel. and i feel ok about it ( i mean, i'm really only a half jew so maybe i shouldn't be able to laugh at that, but i'm kinda anti-semantic).
i also thought about the man who made the Video, who is also a jew. the movie this is taken from is a big satire. Sacha Baron Cohen takes this character and using his supposed ignorance brings out people's REAL ignorance. this scene, the running of the jew, was a complete and utter farce. in fact, much of what he says in the movie, is in either yiddish and hebrew.
