Wow, I just lost all respect for this woman. Here I would have thought she'd be more liberal and open in her views. Sometimes you never know about people. Here are her tweets against Fluke which she later apologized for:

"Hey G-Town Gal: Plz let us also pay for your Starbucks, movie theater tickets and your favorite hot wings combo deal at KFC! Anything else?"

"Hey G-Town Gal: If your parents have to pay for your birth control, maybe they should get a say in who you sleep with! Instant birth control!"

"If every Tweaton sent Georgetown Gal one condom, her parents wouldn't have to cancel basic cable, & she would never reproduce -- sound good?"

Yeah, once again the Right's distortion of the issue. Which wasn't about birth control at that hearing, with barriers (like condoms) or any other devices. It was about access to much more expensive pharmaceuticals, that serve a medical purpose for many women.

But because these also provide birth control, the Right says women can't have subsidized access to them to deal with other health issues. Nice going, Republican lawmakers. Always your rigid Christian ideology over the welfare of the women whom you're supposed to represent.

Separation of church and state, anyone? Of course not, the leading Republican Presidential candidates want to turn the US into a Christian theocracy. Hope none of you here are Jews, or even Christians who don't follow evangelical beliefs - you aren't included in this Republican model for the US.

    Wow - I never knew that she's a right-winger.
And a really hardcore hateful right-winger too!
    That really surprises me.

But I'm glad to learn that she's a Repub because I've always found her to be a very cold harsh person.

True...if you don't think like a liberal you must be a "hardcore hateful right-winger" and a "very cold harsh person". icon_rolleyes.gif What I found interesting is the comments from readers below the article...

It would appear that not all that many people seem to disagree with Ms. Keaton. Clearly, lots of hateful cold harsh people in the world --- unlike the liberals who are all caring, lovely types

I should really feel bad. I didn't know who she is period. Maybe 30 years in LA wasn't quite enough?

It would be nice if the right could stop pretending that Fluke's testimony was about condoms or birth control for pregnancy prevention versus what her statement was actually about: the other medical uses of birth control pills. icon_rolleyes.gif

I read once that she was involved with some organization called Feminists for Life. So much for standing up for her sisters.

For the record, Patricia Heaton is not ANTI-contraceptives, although she does have strong religious views. And she has publicly denounced Prop 8 while supporting gay rights, including gay marriage. What's with the need for a totally monolithic mindset these days?

Heaton had to issue A PUBLIC APOLOGY for her hateful comments.

BY HER OWN ADMISSION - she said some ugly stuff.

    Case closed.

I've never understood why peole pay any attention to the natterings of any Hollywood person who play acts for a living.

With something as flimsy and unsubstantial as acting for a living; how strong, logical and substantial can their opinions be?
