Hey guys. I use my iPhone at the gym to listen to music. I've just been putting it in my pocket. I see other guys using an armband that holds it by their biceps. Does anyone use one of these? Is it comfortable? can you still do bicep curls with it on?

I'd really appreciate any suggestions on iPhone holders for the gym.

    Thanks,
    HC

Oh you kids. Back in my day, sonny, we could get by for an hour or two at the gym or a couple hours at a movie or an hour an a restaurant without our phone or other device by our side. icon_wink.gif

    I bought one of these:

    http://www.amazon.com/Tuneband-Grantwood-Technologys-Silicone-Protector/dp/B003ZZKL6U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331173049&sr=8-1

It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. It allows me enough movement to do any exercise I've tried so far. Sometimes it takes an adjustment or two to keep it from slipping. I use my iPhone for music and to track my data while I'm working out. The port openings are large enough to attach my HRM device.

Why carry the iPhone at all? Aren't there Bluetooth stereo headsets/earbuds you can wear? Then just set your iPhone down alongside you, or in the holder of cardio machines. Most headsets will also allow you to answer a phone call. Carrying the phone with you like an iPod is really only necessary if you're jogging.

Usually I just slip it in the back pocket of my bicycle jersey. I do have an armband case, but it bounces around too much for anything really active. It does work pretty nice for sailing (the hobie cat), because I can check nav data when both hands are busy.

Really, I'm waiting for them to make one into a nice wrist cuff.

I personally hate arm bands. They eventually chafe, move around. I stuff my iTouch into the band of my shorts (not the pocket).

Yeah the arm bands annoy the fuck out of me.

I used to just put it in my pocket or not bring it at all lol.
