    Who's a boss? This guy.
She took it really well, although she thought I was messing with her, and eventually said "I never would have guessed. I thought your little brother would be the gay one..." Definitely felt good to tell her. Now for my Dad and rest of my family next time I see them.
    Anyway, that's all.

Always good to hear, my relationship with my parents, especially my father, was exponentially better after I told them. Although my mother asked me after my last breakup if I should try the other side.... : mothers haha.

Congrats! Enjoy a freer life icon_smile.gif

Way to go! Hopefully her attitude will not change. Sometimes the initial reaction is "Oh, guess it's okay" then later on it's "are you sure?" or "I know this great girl, why don't you just meet her?". Keep up the great work!

CONGRATS!!! That is always great to hear icon_smile.gif

When I told my mom she said "Maybe you just have a low sex drive, I've heard it can be confused with that." My family NEVER talks about sex so it was really odd to hear her say that. I just replied "Mom, I'm positive that I do NOT have a low sex drive" lol. She cried icon_razz.gif But after all that it was great icon_smile.gif

Congrats and well done. Moorhead and Concordia, huh? My ex-BF graduated from there, and the museum with which he was associated is there. In fact the gallery annex is just a few blocks from the campus. Funny you list Fargo as a "destination" since you're less than a mile from it.

Hope it goes well with the rest of the family. I don't think Concordia has a gay student group, does it? MSU Moorhead across the street does, not sure if they could give you advice on how to handle it, if you want guidance. I know you're a young adult, but one never knows where you might find a useful tip.

This organization is often associated with younger LGBT issues, but really applies to a larger age range, discusses many of the objections families may have to acceptance of a gay son:

Congrats! And your mom saying that she thought your brother was the gay one will be useful for years of teasing.

Unless of course, he actually is gay...

I didn't say this, but I am 75% sure he is at least bi... I used his computer once, and when I went to google and clicked on the search bar it brought up the little "recent searches" thing. There was some stuff about hot chicks and celebrities nude, Jessica Alba specifically. But there was also stuff like "locker room encounters." I was a nosey bugger, so I looked in his search history at that point, and there was definitely some gay stuff on there. So just to mess with him I added some more icon_twisted.gif Now he deletes his browsing history, and keeps his computer locked haha. On top of that, my best friend's brother has mutual friends with him, who have said he is gay. He's definitely not out though.

maybe I shouldn't say anything because I'm nowhere to be out, by why don't you talk with him if you think he's bi/gay? I would definitively like that if i had a older gay brother

OK, i see, but now that you've come out to you mum, you could consider that as one of your next steps. No rush though icon_smile.gif
Good luck in the mean time!
